The Irish Fellowship Club’s President’s Luncheon is the traditional start of the holiday season in Chicago and will honor IFC President, Peg O’Ryan Lombardo as she completes her year as President of the Club. Chairman Kevin Flood of the Astor Company, anticipates over 1000 guests will attend the luncheon and the post-luncheon celebration in the Normandy Lounge. Santa, in his emerald green suit, will make his appearance to all good boys and girls.

Club officers will honor President Lombardo for her outstanding accomplishments in office including record-breaking fundraising for the Irish Fellowship Club Educational and Cultural Foundation through the Club’s events this year. The Christmas Luncheon and St. Patrick’s Dinner were both hugely successful thanks to the generosity of our board members, sponsors and donors. Thanks to that generosity, the Club and Foundation were able to increase the grant amounts to each Catholic high school throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. Peg stated, “I truly enjoyed my year as President. As I said at the beginning, our goal was to raise funds, increase membership and have fun. I think we have met those goals. It was an honor for me to serve the Club in this role and I want to thank everyone who made this year a success—Kathy Taylor and the board members and officers.“ The officers and members of the Club salute Peg for the leadership, dedication and sense of fun she has brought to the Club this year. She will become the Chairman of the Club at the Luncheon which serves as the Annual Meeting for the Irish Fellowship Club. New leadership will be elected.

Thank you very much for providing me the honor to receive this scholarship! By allowing me to stay at Nazareth Academy and further my education, I will continue to learn new things, and learn and develop with life lessons that will guide me later in life. You have allowed me to continue my education at Nazareth Academy, which I will be able to grow and apply the four pillars of spirit, service, scholarship and unity at school and in my life.

Dear Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago,

I appreciate this bountiful scholarship because of it’s help with my continued success at Regina Domincan High School.
