June 27, 2014

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On behalf of our entire St. George Greek Orthodox Church

family, we are thrilled to welcome you back to our 2nd annual

Jersey Shore Greek Festival. Our Church complex has been

designed to portray a Greek Village, with the Church at its center.

For Greek Orthodox Christians, our faith and our Church are

central to who we are and how we live our lives.

Thank you for spending some time with us at our Festival…

enjoy the Greek homemade food and pastries, shop in our agora

& bookstore, let the kids enjoy the rides and games, and watch

our young people perform authentic Greek dancing -- feel free to

join them for a round of Kalamatiano! We know you will have a

great time!!! OPA!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our

event sponsors and all those who labored tirelessly to make this

weekend a reality. It would not be a success without each and

every one of you!

Some of you may be Greek; however for those who are not,

we hope that you take this opportunity to be “Greek for a Day!”

We look forward to making this festival an annual tradition for

both you and for your family and friends.

May God bless you all,

Rev. Andrew Eugenis Spiro Pappas George Moutis

the proceeds of every festival be donated to Monmouth County area,

allow us to further our goals of outreach and Christian Orthodox

Stewardship. These gifts, made on behalf of our entire Saint George

Community, are our way of expressing our appreciation to the

surrounding community at large for their support.

The recipients, chosen from recommendations by our St. George stewards, of the 2013 Jersey Shore Greek Festival Outreach Fund are as follows:

-The Frances Foundation…has a focused and devoted commitment

of NJs largest academic medical centers. Donation received will be

used to expand Monmouth Medical Center’s Pet Therapy Program

which is designed to enhance the healing process for patients of all

ages.

-The Ocean Township Historical Museum…is a cultural resource

that invites residents of central New Jersey to learn and respect their

regional past. It is their mission to preserve all the artifacts that tell

the history of Ocean Township and the surrounding communities.

Donation will aid in the restoration of the water tower on site of this

museum.
