Age divisions: 6 years and younger (born 2012 and later)

7-8 years (born 2010, 2011)

9-11 years (born 2007, 2008, 2009)

12-14 years (cadets) (born 2004,2005,2006)

The age category is determined by the year of birth (NOT the date of

birth). The competitor has to reach the relevant age in the year of the

competition.

Belt categories: 9-11 / 12-14 years:

Category A – 2nd Kup and above

Category B – 3rd Kup and below

6 and younger / 7-8 years:

Category A – 4th Kup and above

Category B – 5th – 9th Kup

Qualification

through the European President’s Cup for Children:

Cadets (12 – 14) Kyorugi; Category A The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Cadet Championships 2018.

9 -11 years Kyorugi; Category A

The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Multi European Championships 2018.

Cadets (12 – 14) Poomsae; Category A

9 – 11 years Poomsae, Category A

If there are children from outside Europe among the medalists, the European Children on the following places move up and qualify.

The children 6 years and younger and 7-8 years in category A as well all age classes in category B do not qualify for European championships, but are welcome to take part in the European President’s Cup for Children to gain important experience.

One athlete cannot participate in more than one (1) weight category or age division or in

Kyorugi AND Poomsae.

All competitors must prove their age by presenting their passport or identification card at the

official weigh-in/registration. A written consent must be submitted (please find enclosed on the

last page) at the registration, signed by parents or legal guardians, accepting their participation

and all parts of the official invitation.

By participating in the European President’s Cup for Children all participants agree that their

picture may appear in photos from the tournament or that their name may appear in media

reports which are published during or after the championships.

Protector & Scoring System: At the European President’s Cup for children DAEDO is being used

as PSS(GEN2). The Organizing Committee will provide DAEDO trunk protector and DAEDO E-

headgear. Each athlete has to bring his own DAEDO sensor socks.

7-8 years, up to 6 years Category A and all age classes Category B: 40 Euro

Free Style competition only for Category A

The music for the Free-Style-Competition has to be brought by the

competitor, as MP3 on an USB-Stick. FAT Format, for each competitor one

USB-Stick with exactly one MP 3.

Compulsory Poomsae:

Category A: One (1) day before the competition the Taegeuk/Poomsae will be

published on the website www.taekwondo-aktuell.de

Category B: Please choose the poomsae according to graduation from the list below .

The poomsae will be announced by the player before he enters the

competition area. With Pair and Team poomsae according to the player

with the lowest grade.

FAMILY-POOMSAE EVENT

Participants: Children who start with mother, father or both.

Modus: All Participants do Taeguk-Il-Jang (Taegeuk 1).

Entitled to participate are: Child + Mother, Child + Father, all of them wearing Doboks!

Competition Classes:

Category A: Child and/or mother/father have 4th Kup or higher.

Technique will count 70 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 30 %

Category B: Child and/or mother/father have 5th Kup or lower.

Technique will count 30 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 70 %

Four teams will start in a group, among which the first, second and the two third places will be

decided.

There will be several groups and several winners per category!

Categories will not be divided between Boys and Girls.

An experienced referee will evaluate the teams.

Age categories are determined according to the age of the children:

8 years and younger (born 2010, 2011 and later)

9-11 years (born 2007, 2008, 2009)

12-14 years (cadets) (born 2004,2005,2006)

Participants can choose the day on which they start (February 3 or 4). The starting time will be

announced at the tournament.

or Sunday as starting day (starting day of you own choice)

In the classes that qualify for the European Championships international Kyorugi and Poomsae

Referees will officiate, under supervision of World Taekwondo Europe.

Referees with national license are very welcome to officiate in the other classes. If you have a

Adults: 1 day - 10 Euro Minors: 1 day - 5 Euro

Discount for subscribers of the magazine Taekwondo Aktuell:

Subscribers receive either a 10 Euro discount on the starting fee (for one subscription 10 Euro

once – not for the whole club!) OR free admission to the venue. To get a discount / free

admission please send us an E-Mail with your subscription number and name to
