ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUNDOur vision is of a world where all children can read and write.

Universal Learning Solutions is a not-for-profit organisation that works with government, educators, donors and experts around the world to provide bespoke services that deliver innovative literacy solutions. We currently support projects in Nigeria, Cameroon, Nepal, Kenya and Pakistan.

Our work enables and enthuses teachers to deliver high quality literacy tuition and builds the institutional capacity of partners through knowledge and skills transfer. This gives children of all abilities the skills needed to read and write and helps governments meet their global education targets.

To date, thanks to the Jolly Futures philanthropic partnership with the leading educational publishers, Jolly Learning Ltd, Universal Learning Solutions has provided free Jolly Phonics training and resources to over 45,000 government school teachers in the developing world, reaching up to 3.5 million children.

I delighted that you are interested in joining us for the 1st Annual International Jolly Phonics Summit in London on 18th & 19th September. It promises to be a wonderful event and I am very much looking forward to sharing our experiences of working to improve literacy levels with Jolly Phonics over the last ten years.

SUMMARYThe 2017 Jolly Phonics International Summit provides a unique opportunity for key educationalists from across the world, most especially Africa, to share their learning and experiences with an International audience, whilst building the institutional capacity of participants to manage large-scale Jolly Phonics literacy interventions.

The summit will bring provide a platform for ideas and plans to be generated to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Jolly Phonics project. Through doing so, it is expected to further contribute to the transformation of literacy levels, which is currently taking place through the work of Universal Learning Solutions in partnership with government.

Better understand what Jolly Phonics is and the potential that it has to transform English literacy levels.
