In alignment with the mission and vision of the CUHK Business School to “develop global business leaders for the Asian Century”, MSc in Marketing (MScMKT) Programme aims to train students to become future leaders in marketing who are capable to meet the challenges and opportunities in the region through a well - designed curriculum that incorporates theory and practice, tradition and technology, intuition and analytics, local ideas and global vision.

Our Programme with concentration in Big Data Marketing and Managerial Marketing is the �rst programme of its kind in the Greater China Region. The Programme not only helps students achieve their goals in acquiring frontier knowledge

Some courses include a combination of lectures, group projects, meetings, reports, and presentations to learn marketing research techniques and to work with a company to solve a real marketing problem, which provides students with practical experience in this �eld of emerging importance.

RIDE ON THE OPPORTUNITYand professional skills in marketing, it is also set to meet the high demand for the new generation of marketers from the industry in an internet - driven economy.

The Programme is o�ered in full - time mode. It commences in August 2020 and �nishes in June 2021. Classes are conducted during day time or in the evenings. Some courses will be o�ered on Saturdays as well.

Lectures and teaching materials are mainly in English. Other languages may be used depending on the presentation materials as provided by the teachers / guest speakers.

Students may choose one of the two concentration options. Each concentration requires the completion of three particular core courses and three elective courses.

• Managerial Marketing – prepares students to work in marketing management of consumer and business goods and services in general, and in specialised areas such as branding, advertising, and multinational marketing.

• Big Data Marketing – prepares students to work in areas such as digital marketing, marketing engineering and database marketing.

The Marketing Engineering Laboratory of CUHK is the �rst marketing lab powered by IBM in the Greater China region. The lab provides students with opportunities to learn frontier IBM software for data mining and text mining.

Students are given opportunities to gain hands-on experiences to solve big data marketing problems or managerial marketing problems from di�erent industries through participation in conferences, company visits, professional sharing and internships.
