The questions will be of objective typewith multiple choice of answers and will cover subjects like General Science, Current events,Geography, Economic Planning & Development, Indian polity, basic knowledge in Engineering,Airthmatic (HSC standard), problem solving and test of reasoning. The preliminary written exami-nation is only of qualifying nature and the marks secured in the examination will not be countedtowards final selection. For each wrong answer 1/2 mark will be deducted from the marks se-

    cured. There shall be no deduction for not attempting any question. ii) Main written ExaminationCandidates in the ratio of 20 times of the number of vacancies of each category will be short listed toappear in the Main Written Examination on the basis of marks secured in the preliminary writtenexamination.
