Classification of PCBs
• -Stockholm Convention is the international convention about persistent Organic Pollutant- (POPs) under the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) -Entered in to force May 2004 -Albania signed 2001 and ratified 4-10-2004
STOCKHOLM CONVENTION
-Controls and or Bans the use of POPs -Especially for PCBs sets a phase out date 2025 +3 years, if necessary -Phase out of equipment containing more than 50ppm Liquid PCBs

PCBs Classification
PCBs Classifications:
-PCBs:
liquid containing more than 10.000ppm PCBs or 5 liter
-PCBs contaminated:
containing liquid PCBs 50-500ppm or 5 liter
-PCBs equipment:
containing PCBs more than 50ppm or 0,05liter
-non PCBs:
solids and liquids with less <50ppm (mg/Kg)
Next follows a proposal to mark using colors transformers Note!! that the same coloring system can be used for capacitors and other equipment
