BOD < 10 < 30
COD < 50 < 250COD < 50 < 250
TSS < 20 < 30
NH3 – N < 2 No Treatment.
P < 1 No Treatment.
BENEFITS
‐ 50 % Reduction in power consumption.‐ 50 % Reduction in land requirement.‐ Fully automatic, Computerized ( PLC/ SCADA)‐ Much higher plant life due to excellent material.L i ‐ Low maintenance cost.
‐ Treated effluent can be used for Horticulture/ Industries.
PROCESSStep 1 : The raw wastewater is filled in tank. Aeration isdone simultaneously for a pre‐determined period to aeratethe effluent along with biomassthe effluent along with biomass.
• Step 2 : After aeration cycle, the biomass settles underperfect settling conditionsperfect settling conditions.
• Step 3 : Once settled the supernatant is removed from thetop using decanter. Solids are wasted from the tank duringp g gdecanting.
Above steps in sequence constitute a cycle.
