Site selection is a crucial stage in the development of waste management

strategies, waste management plans and new waste treatment facilities.

Identifying sensitive sites and areas of environmental importance is essential to

ensure that the benefits are maximised whilst disruption to local communities and

cost to the environment are kept to a minimum.

The expanding volume of waste together with the legislative requirements creates

a growing need for waste treatment facilities like Mechanical Biological Treatment

plants (MBT) and Energy from Waste (EfW) plants. Through our specialized engineers

and our extensive knowledge of the international market in terms of technology

providers, suppliers, contractors and operators, gives us the capability to work

effectively on all types of waste treatment facilities, providing services from

initial concept, up to detailed design level.

ENVIROPLAN has a specialized team providing a bespoke service to those involved in

the technical and financial aspects of waste management services procurement.

Our contracts specialists work alongside with our waste management specialists to

advise on the most suitable form of procurement strategy and conditions of

contract, to produce the tender documentation using international standards (like

FIDIC conditions of contract, PRAG etc) adopted in the local situation, with

emphasis in each project’s particularities and customer’s needs. Additionally we

have been involved in providing Technical assistance services

full-time designated resident engineers together with

office-based technical specialists, provide a point of contact

Monitoring team, fully equipped with the latest in technology measuring

equipment, such as Thermal imaging camera, Exhaust gas analyzer, Infrared gas

analyser and gas sampling units, Olfractometer (odour measurement), Sound meter, portable laser

Dust meter and various portable water meter devices (arranged in a mobile unit) can make in situ

measurements of air, water, waste quality and noise level.

ENVIRONMENTAL DUE DILIGENCEWe assist facilities from the initial planning stage, through their remediation process, up to the

MAPPING / GIS SERVICES ENVIROPLAN provides GIS and GIS Mapping services which allow for the

visualization of geographic data, analysis of spatial relationships, and efficient

data management. Based on paper or electronic data either captured by our

customers or otherwise collected, ENVIROPLAN undertakes GIS data conversions

and prepares electronic maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

technology. By integrating GIS, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Global

Positioning Systems (GPS), using high-end GIS Mapping and GIS data conversions

software, our GIS Services assist our customers in producing various types of

maps as contour maps, spatial maps, atlas maps, cadastral maps,
