Abstract As the acid rain resulted from SO2 emission of coal-fired power plants has damaged the people’sliving environment seriously, the flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) has been put in the agenda of the governmentin China, and coal-fired power plants are forced to equip FGD installations. Several widely used FGD processeswere summarized and compared each other. Finally, some opinions about home FGD market and its technologi-cal domesticization were given.
