BENDER SHORTHORNS & STAR P FARMS
Cattlemen continue to crossbreed, to try and get the animal they like to look at and sell for the most money. At Bender’s and Star P Farms we have changed our breeding program to have a carcass that can match or pass other breeds. We have rail graded our shorthorns over the past 10 years; always grading top carcass AAA-AA.
Carcass Data Yearling bulls will be ultra sounded for carcass data prior to
sale. Data will be available online and at the sale.
Pictures Watch our websites for current pictures of bulls
closer to sale time.
Trucking Incentive Take home your bull sale day we will rebate you $50.00. Offering free trucking up to 150 miles to central points.
Feeding
We will feed bulls free until April 30th, after that we will charge $2.50 per day.
We believe yearling bulls can breed 25 cows. We suggest to bring bulls back in and put on better feed,
you will be happier with the bull.

He will continue his sires tradition of putting plenty of hind, and plenty of rib into all of the calves that he produces. There is lots of outcross in this pedigree and it shows with all his hybrid type growth.
JT Thunder 72T JT Thunder 72T is a bull we bought from John Thompson at Agribition in 2007. Thunder is a moderate framed bull we used to add muscling to our herd. His calf crop is consistent from non-assisted births, low birth weights and energetic calves. Featured here are 2 of his offspring.
Glenford Just Right 20S This herdsire was used as an AI outcross in our herd.
Star P Ultra Gold 6U This bull is sired by an American All-Star who adds tremendous muscles, and length to his calves. His calves are born un-assisted and consistently pack on the pounds.

BW: 90 lbs. Dec. 24 WT: 1000 lbs. Nexium is our oldest yearling bull here and is up to the task of covering a few more females than a bull a few months younger. This red bull, with just a bit of chrome, will catch the neighbours eye, even before his calves hit the ground. Once the calves start coming they will be knocking on the door, or making holes in the fences.

This bull was Grand Champion bull at Saskatoon Fall Fair in 2011, and we used him on our first pass at our heifers. We are confident that his moderate birth weight and smooth shoulders are perfect for ease of calving. You will definitely admire the length and hindquarter to this bull. We already have calves out of him on the ground and are liking the ease of calving, and vigor to his calves.

Eionmor Ideal 69R This powerhouse of a bull has proven himself in our herd. Just take a look at his offspring and you’ll see that he passes his spring of rib, muscling and length onto his calves.
Saskvalley Recoil 99R A bull that produces red, muscled, polled calves that pop out! This will be the last of his offspring we offer for sale.
