GENERAL NOTES• WR Lee Evans was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his nine-catch,

214-yard, two-TD performance last week against Akron.• Wisconsin’s No. 14 ranking from the Associated Press this week is the program’s

highest since it was No. 14 by the A.P. on Sept. 24, 2000.• The Badgers are one of just nine Division I teams riding a winning streak at least

four games in length.• Six of Wisconsin’s last 15 wins (40 percent) have been fourth-quarter comeback

efforts. The season-opening win at West Virginia was one of the largest fourth-quarterdeficits the Badgers have erased during the Alvarez era. Others included: 14 points vs.Northern Illinois in 1992; eight points at Minnesota in 1997; seven points vs. Purdue in1992; seven points vs. Colorado in 2002.

• The UW Department of Athletics last week unveiled new seating opportunities atCamp Randall Stadium beginning in 2004. They are known as the Camp Randall Suites,Buckingham Club and Varsity Club. Go to UWBADGERS.COM for more information.

• Wisconsin is 19-1 in its last 20 non-conference home games. During the Alvarezera, the Badgers are 29-4 vs. non-league foes in Camp Randall Stadium.

• Wisconsin has drawn a crowd of at least 70,000 in each of its last 63 games at76,634-seat Camp Randall Stadium. Among those 63 games, 53 have been sellouts.

• Wisconsin has ranked 19th or better in national attendance figures in each of thepast 11 seasons.

• Wisconsin’s storied Camp Randall Stadium was last fall named by the IndianapolisStar as the best place to experience college football in the Big Ten.

• Prior to this season, the only other time the Badgers opened a campaign with a roadwin during the Alvarez era was 1998 (they went on to win the Big Ten title and Rose Bowlthat year). Just like this season, Wisconsin’s second game in 1998 was at home vs. a MACopponent (Ohio) and its third game was at home vs. UNLV.

• Last Saturday’s win allowed Coach Barry Alvarez to inch closer to the 100-victorymark. His 94 wins make him one of just 12 coaches in Big Ten history with 90 wins at oneconference institution (Penn State’s Joe Paterno joined the list on the opening weekendwith his 90th win since the Nittany Lions joined the league). Others on the list includelegends like Amos Alonzo Stagg, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Hayden Fry and DuffyDaugherty. Only nine coaches in conference history have won 100 games at one Big Tenschool.
