STANDARD CARRIER EQUIPMENT

UPPERSTRUCTURE FRAMEAll welded one-piece structure fabricated with high tensilestrength alloy steel. Counterweight is bolted to frame.

TURNTABLE CONNECTIONSwing bearing is a single row, ball type, with external teeth.The swing bearing is bolted to the revolving upperstructureand welded to the carrier frame.

SWINGA hydraulic motor drives a double planetary reduction gear forprecise and smooth swing function. Swing motor is equippedwith a counterbalance valve. Swing speed (no load) is 3.0 rpm.

OPERATOR’S CABEnvironmental cab with all steel construction, large glass areaprovides optimum visibility, tinted safety glass throughout, andrubber floor matting. Cab is mounted low to enable entry fromground level. The cab has a hinged door on the left side andsliding windows in the door, on the right side and rear.Acoustical foam padding insulates against sound and weather.The deluxe six-way adjustable operator's seat is fullyadjustable and equipped with air suspension.

RATED CAPACITY INDICATORRated Capacity Indicator with visual and audible warning sys-tem and automatic function disconnects. Display includesactual load and percentage of allowable load registered bybar graph. Anti-two block system includes audio/visual warn-ing and automatic function disconnects.

CONTROLSAll control levers and pedals are positioned for efficient opera-tion. Hand operated control levers include swing, telescope,boom hoist, winch(s), shift, vernier adjustable hand throttle.Switches include ignition, range shift, steer mode, outriggercontrols, travel lights, parking brake, swing brake, and twoposition house lock. Foot control pedals include servicebrakes and accelerator.

INSTRUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESIn-cab gauges include bubble level, engine oil pressure, fuellevel, engine temperature, voltmeter, transmission temperature,and transmission oil pressure. Indicators include high watertemperature/low oil pressure/high transmission temperatureaudio/visual warning, low coolant audio/visual warning, (hoistdrum rotation indicator), and Rated Capacity Indicator.Accessories include fire extinguisher; light package includingheadlights, tail lights, brake lights, directional signals, four-wayhazard flashers, and back-up lights with audio pulsating back-up alarm; windshield washer/wiper and skylight wiper; R.H. andL.H. rear view mirrors; dash lights; and seat belt.

SWING BRAKEHeavy duty multiple disc swing brake is spring set and airreleased from operator’s cab. Control is by electrical switch. Anair operated two position house lock is standard.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVESValves are mounted in the carrier and are easily accessible.Valves are mechanically operated and include one four spoolvalve for boom elevation, telescope, main winch, and futureinstallation of auxiliary winch; and one single spool valve forswing. High pressure regeneration feature in telescope valveprovides 2-speed boom extension. Quick disconnects are pro-vided for ease of installation of pressure check gauges.

CARRIER CHASSISChassis is Terex designed with four-wheel drive and four-wheelsteer (4x4x4). Has box-type construction with reinforcing crossmembers, a precision machined turntable mounted plate and inte-grally welded outrigger boxes. Decking has skid-resistant sur-faces, includes access steps and handles on left and right sides.Four interchangeable fenders are installed standard.

AXLES AND SUSPENSIONRear axle is a planetary drive/steer type with automatic oscilla-tion lockouts that engage when the superstructure is swung10° in either direction. Front axle is a planetary drive/steer type,rigid mounted to the frame for increased stability.

SERVICE BRAKESAir over hydraulic drum type brakes on all four wheels; 17" x 4"(43.18 x 10.2 cm) drum brakes.

PARKING BRAKETransmission mounted spring-set, air released external caliperdisk type emergency/parking brake sets automatically whenignition is turned off or in the event of loss of system air.

STEERINGHydraulic four-wheel power steering for two-wheel, four wheel,or crab steer is easily controlled by steering wheel.
