It is a great area, with lots to do. NC State University is home to 35,000 students, and offers a variety of schools and degrees. The Squad: The Squad: NC State, NCA Grand National Champions in 2001, has 4 National Titles. Their teams are composed of two squads, Red Team and White Team. Red Team cheers for home and away football games, Men’s basketball and competes at Nationals. White Team cheers for home football games and Women’s basketball. Squad sizes vary, but typically consist of but are not limited to 10 - 12 males and females per team. Wolfpack Benefits: Wolfpack Benefits: Fully supported by Athletic Dept. Student Athlete Status Tryout Requirements: Tryout Requirements: To tryout everyone must bring a current physical (less than one year old) and do the following: Standing back tuck and toe touch back tuck. Stunting Positions: The above standing tumbling and two optional stunts. One stunt must include a 720 dismount. Stunts will be performed with current NC State Cheerleaders. Tumbling Positions: The above standing tumbling, a toss shoulder stand, a standing pass through to a full and 2 running passes including a variety of elite elements (ex. punch front, front handspring, arabian, 1 ½ or multiple spinning elements in series) These spaces are limited. I encourage you to submit a video demonstrating the skills listed for the positions above prior to tryouts. You may also include any other skills that demonstrate your talent (ex. cheer, dance, etc.). Tryout Dates: Tryout Dates: 2006 Spring Tryouts will be held in Carmichael Gymnasium in the Gymnastics facility. April 28 th 6-9pm - Optional Tryout Clinic ($25) April 29 th 10-1pm and 3-6pm April 30 th 10-1pm and 3-6pm Incoming Freshman and transfer students can tryout in the Spring but must have already applied to the University.
