The Mapex Quantum HT snare drum

combines the traditional design and

function of a conventional marching

snare drum with the ability to support

high tension tuning.

The Quantum XT snare drum will

accommodate all head types and

remains full, open, and sensitive at all

levels of tension. Wood reinforcing

rings on the bottom bearing edge

ensure structural integrity and

roundness of shell when using

woven fiber bottom snare heads.

New to the series is the Agility snare

drum, a shorter, lighter version of the

XT ideal for indoor drum lines and other

marching ensembles that demand high

tension tuning with reduced weight or

enhanced articulation.

bass drums represent significant

marching drums. Tom shells

feature interior plies of Walnut and

a progressive cut that produces a

full, dark sound that doesn’t become

choked at high tensions.

Bass drums feature progressive

air vent placement for a more

consistent sound and feel

throughout the bass ensemble

and are outfitted with chambered

aluminum hoops that provide

strength and stability while

eliminating the need for additional

rim protection.

Lightweight, aluminum tube lugs

minimize shell contact while ensuring

the best possible alignment of tension

rods to keep tuning stress off the shell.

Tom shells have two interior plies of Walnut for superior warmth and projection as well as Walnut reinforcing rings for stability.

The Mapex Quantum series offers three unique straight cut shot drum sizes to suit different configurations.

The qct68023 quints employ the 6”x 6” to match the brighter overall timbre, while the qct60234 set utilizes the 6”x 8” to match the darker tone characteristic of the larger shells. Sextets with two 6” toms are equipped with one each 6”x 6”and 6”x 8”. The qct680234 sextet uses the 6”x 6” and 8”x 6” for maximum pitch differentiation.
