Spine Consistency.

Consistent spines are the #1 factor in arrow performance. It’s why we use a tightly controlled, computerized manufacturing process and only the highest grades of carbon fiber for each shaft.

The Straight Story.

We laser check each of our arrows straightness to a remarkable 1/10,000 of an inch to make sure they meet the strictest straightness tolerances in the industry. And unlike most manufacturers, our straightness tolerances are maximum measurements, not merely averages.

Matched Weight.

To take consistent performance to an even higher level, we utilize a fully automated, electronic sorting system to precisely match the weight of each arrow in a boxed set.

The Lazer Eye lighted nock aids the bow hunterin following the flight on an arrow anddetermining the location of impact on ananimal. As most bow hunters know, havinginsight on the location of impact on the animalwill certainly aid in the recovery process. Theadded benefit is that it also helps preventarrow loss in the event of a pass-throughshot or even that unfortunate miss guidedshot. Weighing only 18.5 grains, the Lazer Eyenock is only 10 grains more than the standardCarbon Express® nock which equates to nodifference in arrow flight or impact area upto approximately 40 yards. The Lazer Eye is activated upon release of the arrow when the bow string compresses forward upon the arrow which ensures the nock will illuminate on each and every shot. After recovery of the arrow, the Lazer Eye is simple to turn offby slightly pulling the nock from the arrow ofthe shaft approximately 1/16”. The Lazer Eye can be used repeatedly due to its Durable construction and engineered design while offering up to 7 hours of illumination.

TARGET POINTSThe adjustable weight target points from Carbon Express® are en-gineered to give the bow hunter ultimate versatility in optimizing their practice setup. The small weight segments on the back end of each point weigh 5 grains and can be detached to a specified overall weight in order to achieve precision arrow flight.

Carbon Express offers two design options – CX Pig Point and the CX Target Point. Both point styles fit the standard 19/64” diameter carbon shafts with the difference being the overall shape of the point.

The CX Target Point is classic in shape and design while the CX Pig Point has a “parabolic” or bulge shape design that allows for easy arrow removal from foam targets.

Proper Arrow and Component Selection

Proper spine selection is the key to good arrow flight. With today’s modern compounds there are many variables that effect how an arrow reacts when it is thrust out of the bow. The type of cam on the bow, the speed of the bow, the length of an arrow along with many other factors can effect how the arrow reacts during flight. As a result of these extreme variables, Carbon Express recommends that you start the arrow/shaft selection process by using the adjustable weight chart to calculate a final pound number for your particular bow set-up.

Once you have selected the optimal spine size of the Carbon Express arrow, we recommend that you cut a single arrow to the proper length and then test shoot this arrow through paper (this is called paper tuning) at 4 yards.

The goal of paper tuning is to achieve a perfect hole through the paper or slight “high” tear. This indicates you have selected the proper spined arrow. Should the results be that of a major paper tear, this more than likely indicates a need to adjust your arrow rest or nock position versus that of selecting an alternate arrow/shaft spine.

If after many adjustments you can not get a horizontal tear then the spine may be off. The next step would be to select an alternate arrow/shaft spine or adjustment to the bow draw weight.
