Frank Meguiar, Jr.’s passion forquality and value, continues to

Meguiar’s technicians work closely withthe world’s leading automotive paint andcar manufacturers. Meguiar’s serves as aconsultant and product supplier, to majorcarmakers around the world focused onpaint quality and paint correction issuesin their assembly plants and at the dealership level.

The family business grew out ofthe garage and into the office

shown above in 1936.

In 1923, this was truly a familybusiness with everyone helping

to make products at home.During the day, Frank Meguiar, Jr.

would demonstrate and sell theproduct made the night before

to pay for groceries.

What began over a century ago as a simple furniture polish laboratory and plant in the garage of founder Frank Meguiar, Jr., now spans three generations of Meguiarfamily stewardship. Meguiar’s, Inc. has become one of theworld’s leading surface care products companies, providinghighly specialized products for almost every conceivabletype of surface.

In his wildest dreams, it’s doubtful that Frank Meguiar, Jr,could have foreseen what his first bottle of furniture polishin 1901 would evolve into over the next 100 years. When hefirst began, he made one bottle of polish at a time usingan eggbeater. Eventually, with the help of his kids, he wasable to produce enough product at night to fill the nextday’s orders and pay for groceries.

From his first bottle of furniture polish, Frank Meguiar, Jr.was steadfastly determined never to sell a product unlesshe was convinced it was the very best of its kind on themarket. To this day, the family follows that dictate and, as aresult, is the number one selling car wax in America withthe highest consumer loyalty. Meguiar’s diversified productline is distributed in over 92 countries worldwide and consists of more than 300 different cleaners, polishes,waxes, conditioners, and protectants for homes, cars, boats,trains, planes, and almost every other type of surface.
