SBPCOE's mission is to increase capacity for sustainable development in
the rural region through educational programs and advanced research. The
Undergraduate Program and Post Graduate contributes to this mission by
educating a new generation of graduates to have the skills and knowledge
necessary to pursue successful life-long careers in the practice and application of
engineering. Technical knowledge is only one aspect of an engineer's career
development. What the ideal undergraduate experience can do besides providing
a strong technical foundation is to prepare its graduates fully for the realities they
will face in industry by exposing them to real world problems and industrial settings
as early and often as possible. At SBPCOE, We strive to give every student that
exposure.
SBPCOE aims at providing an enjoyable learning experience to its
students throughout their entire tenure in the college. In addition to their
academics, students can participate in a wide variety of extra curricular activities in
the field of arts & sports, and will receive institutional support to excel in those, at
both learning as well as competitive stages.
To be the fountain head of novel ideas
and innovations in technology
and science dedicated to
the service of nation.

COMPUTER ENGINEERING
The goal of our nation to become a super power can be realized only if innovation and leadership become the new mantras of the
Computer / IT industry. These industries can sustain their future development only through the development of new knowledge based
products and technologies. Keeping this view in mind S B Patil College of Engineering has introduced this course from the academic
year 2009- 2010. We have well qualified & experienced faculty, fully equipped & well maintained Computer Laboratories and Class
Rooms with audio-visual facilities that make the class rooms truly vibrant and modern. The institute promises to attain excellence by
keeping abreast of latest technological developments around, for the development of their students. The Department regularly

CIVIL ENGINEERING
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and
naturally built environment, including works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering
discipline after military engineering, and it was defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. It is
traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural
engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal
engineering, surveying, and construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal
through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Last few years Maharashtra state is facing acute shortage of electrical power which has an adverse effect on our industrial growth. Almost
the same situation exists all over India. The government has planned to enhance the generation of electrical power by 10,000 MW per
annum. Other reforms are also being introduced. Keeping in mind the huge employment potential, we have introduced electrical
branch at SBPCOE in 2010. The curriculum set for this course is such that the student acquires knowledge in electrical as well as
electronic subjects. Electrical engineering deals with the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity as well as the design of a
range of related devices. These include transformers, electric generators, electric motors, high voltage engineering, and power
electronics. In many regions of the world, governments maintain an electrical network called a power grid that connects a variety of
generators together with users of their energy. Power engineers may work on the design and maintenance of the power grid as well as
the systems connected to it.
