Filipino family driver first to vote in Jeddah OAV
Mr. David Dailig, a family driver based inJeddah, cast his vote at exactly 8AM on 10April 2010 at SBEI Precinct No. 3. He was thefirst to vote out of the registered 37,083
The Consulate established 10 Special Board ofElection Inspectors. The 10th SBEI is dedicatedto those who registered at field registration
outside of Jeddah and at the Philippine
curriculum schools.
The voting process is quite simple, said
Consul General Ezzedin Tago. First checkyour name on the certified list of OAV
(CLOAV), and take note of your number andprecinct. Then proceed to the precinct to
vote. There, the SBEI will guide you, headded.
Voters do not need to present their Comelec-
issued Voters ID, explained Consul Leo TitoAusan Jr., the focal person at the Consulatefor OAV.
OAV in Jeddah will continue until 10 May 2010. The schedule for voting at theConsulate is 10AM to 6PM, everyday including Thursdays and Fridays, the weekly
holiday in Saudi Arabia.
Consul General encouraged all registeredabsentee voters to vote early, and to
encourage their families and friends andother Filipino community members to
campaign for a high turn-out of voters.
