into the conduct of a census Highlight some basic concepts and
definitions that will be used in the 2010 PHC
2010 PHC: Our business, your business, everyone’s business
The 2010 PHC will enumerate/count all persons present in Ghana, both Ghanaians and non Ghanaians will be enumerated at the place they spent the census nightIt will cover all the ten Administrative Regions of Ghana, all the 170 Districts and all Localities (Cities, Towns, Villages, farm huts, etc.) in Ghana.The census operation will be confined to the territory of Ghana. Nobody in this defined territory will be enumerated more than once or omitted.

All living quarters irrespective of type within the borders of Ghana at that specific point in time will also be countedA house or compound is a structurally separate and independent place of abode.
An enclosure may be considered as separate if it is surrounded by walls, fences, etc., so that a person or group of persons can isolate themselves from other persons in the community for the purpose of sleeping, preparing and taking their meals or protecting themselves from hazards of climate such as storms and the sun.
