• Requires MAPI-compliant email w/CDO installed– Outlook is MAPI-compliant, Outlook Express is not– CDO = Collaborative Data Objects, optional component
• Billing Address in Juris– Address must include an email address
• Matter or Consolidation in Juris– Send copy to line will require a format for the e-mail attachment – Bill will be generated in selected format, attached to message and sent

• Use your email first– To test: enter your email address on their billing address– Run Export-Email bills - bills will be sent to yourself
• Try sending from a group mailbox– [email protected] (multiple staff can monitor rejects and replies)– Use signature line for short message embedded in each bill sent
• Transition into full E-Billing– Follow electronic run with paper run for 2-3 bill cycles– Reduce or eliminate paper billing

• Requires JurisBX– Download JurisBX from Support Center website– Simple setup, to be performed on each billing person’s workstation
• Requires import of correct mandated format(s) – Formats folder within JurisBX download from Support Center website– New formats may be requested from Support– Request a File Format Specification from your client

• Ask for a test– Ask your client or intermediary how you can upload a test submission– Do this before an actual invoice is due to allow for corrections as needed
• Archive exported bills– Save items into a temporary folder until submission is accepted– After acceptance move the bill into an archive (such as 2010_09)

• Check your notecards– Additional BX information is stored on a Matter Notecard
• Ask for support– If your submissions are being rejected check with Juris support, you may be
using the wrong format– Ask your client for a file format specification before calling support
