DevelopmentMarport Terminal Operators was established in response to Turkey’s vital need for investment in and operation of container terminals in order to accomodate the increasing volume of exports and imports. Located in Istanbul’s Ambarlı Port Complex, Marport has convenient connections to the TEM and E-5 highways on the European side, ensuring rapid transportation connections. Capacity at Marport was increased to 1.900.000 TEU at the end of 2012 as a result of investments in technology and equipment, improvements to the Container Freight Station (CFS) infrastructure, the start of operations at the Land Terminal and the completion of the construction of RTG cranes.

With a draft of 16.5 meters, 5 piers and 9 super Post Panamax STS (Ship to Shore) Cranes, Marport is a terminal in Turkey that can offer similtaneous berthing and facilty for vessels up to 18 containers wide. It is capable of handling container vessels that are 366 meters long and carry 14,000+ TEU, which are the largest vessels that dock in Turkey. Infrastructure investments totaling 250 million USD beginning in 2001 have made Marport a high volume container handler in the region. Marport is maintaining leader position as container terminal with market share according to 34% Marmara Region and 22% Turkey.

GelişimMarport Liman İşletmeleri, Türkiye’nin artan ihracat ve ithalatı için gerekli olan konteyner terminal yatırımı ihtiyacını karşılamak üzere kuruldu. İstanbul Ambarlı Liman tesislerinde yer alan Marport, Avrupa yakasında TEM ve E-5 Otoyollarına bağlantısı ile hızlı ulaşım imkanı sağlıyor. Teknoloji ve ekipman yatırımları, Container Freight Station (CFS) da yapılan alt yapı çalışmaları, Cep Terminali’nin faaliyete geçmesi ve ek RTG istif inşasının tamamlanmasıyla Marport, kapasitesini 2012 sonu itibari ile 1.900.000 TEU’ya çıkardı.

16.5 metrelik draftı, 5 rıhtımı ve 9 süper post panamax STS (Ship to Shore) vinçi ile Marport, Türkiye’de aynı anda 18 yan kapasiteli gemileri elleçleyebilecek tesise sahip bir terminaldir. Türkiye’ye gelen en büyük konteyner gemileri olma özelliğini taşıyan 366 metre uzunluğundaki 14.000 TEU ve üzeri gemileri elleçleme kapasitesine sahiptir. 2001 yılından beri yapılmakta olan 250 milyon dolarlık alt yapı yatırımları Marport’u bölgedeki yüksek elleçleme kapasitesine sahip konteyner terminallerinden biri haline getirdi. Marport 2012 yılında Marmara Bölgesinde %34 ve Türkiye genelinde %22 pazar payı ile konteyner limancılığında lider konumunu sürdürüyor.

Marport Ana Terminal 2012 yılında 718.543 TEU’luk iş hacmini başarıyla gerçekleştirdi. Derin su ihtiyacı duyan 10.000 TEU üzerindeki büyük konteyner gemilerinin hizmet alabilecekleri saha ve rıhtım kapasitesine sahip olan Marport Ana Terminali yıllık 950.000 TEU kapasite ile hizmet veriyor.

In 2012, the Marport Main Terminal successfully handled 718,543 TEU. Marport’s Main Terminal has yards and dock capacity capable of serving the largest container vessels (over 10,000 TEU) that require deep water. It’s annual TEU capacity is 950,000.

The West Terminal was added to the Marport facility in 2003. At the end of 2012, it had handled 865,344 TEU. With an annual capacity of 950,000 TEU, the West Terminal is capable of servicing the largest container vessels that call on Turkish ports.

Marport is investing in the equipment needed to keep pace with changing demands. Development of Marport’s infrastucture has gone hand in hand with its expansion and modernization projects. Investment in new port equipment ensures the use of the latest technology. 9 STSs, 35 RTGs, 1 RMG (Rail Mounted Gantry) and 82 terminal trucks also enable the port to keep up with the ever-increasing scale of operations.

EKİPMAN EQUIPMENT

172001 yılında Marport Ana Terminal’de başlatılan ve 2003’de Batı Terminali’nde devam eden Marport Konteyner Terminalleri Genişleme ve Modernizasyon Projesi 2006 yılı sonunda tamamlandı. Projenin tamamı liman sahasının 409.000 metrekareye çıkarılması, 9 STS, 35 RTG,1 RMG, 72 liman taşıma aracı satın alınması ve Navis terminal operasyon sistemine geçişi kapsıyor. İlerleyen yıllarda yatırımlarına düzenli olarak devam eden Marport, 2011 yılının sonunda Batı Terminali rıhtımını 60 metre uzatarak, rıhtım uzunluğunu 760 metreye çıkardı. Rıhtım boyunun uzatılmasına ek olarak rıhtıma 30 metre mesafede bağlama dolfeni de inşa edildi.

2012 yılında Marport Turkcell ile gerçekleştirdiği yatırım ile liman içinde 3G alt yapısını oluşturdu. Bu yatırım ile limandaki erişim hızı yaklaşık 2.5 katına çıktı ve limandaki işleyişin tamamı merkezden yönetilebilir duruma geldi. Ayrıca limanda bulunan gıda maddelerini belirli bir sıcaklıkta tutan reefer (soğutmalı) konteynerlerin ofisten takip edebilmesi, ısı değerlerinin uzaktan yönetilebilmesi ve raporlanabilmesi sağlandı. Daima müşteri odaklı çalışan Marport bu kapsamda bilgi talebi, şikayet, öneri ve diğer tüm bildirimleri kayıt altına alan bir sistem oluşturdu. Sistem Marport’un web sayfası haricinde liman girişinde bulunan kiosklar ve akıllı telefonlarda bulunan Marport uygulamasıyla da entegre çalışıyor.

Akıllı telefon uygulaması ve idari bina girişinde bulunan kiosklardan tahmini ithalat ardiye hesaplaması, konteyner ve araç sorgulaması yapabilmenin yanı sıra gemi yanaşma planı öğrenilebiliyor ve Marport’ta gerçekleşen yenilikler müşteriler tarafından takip edebiliyor.

Çevreyi korumak için de yatırımlar yapan Marport, 2011 yılında başlattığı Electrification of Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (E-RTG) projesinin Ana - Batı Terminali bölümünü 2012 yılında tamamladı. Marport Ana ve Batı Terminal’indeki 35 RTG vincin elektrik enerjisiyle kullanılması sayesinde yüzde 85 oranında enerji tasarrufu sağlanıyor. 2013 Eylül ayında teslim alınması beklenen Ship to Shore Gantry Crane (STS) ile 20 yan kapasiteli konteyner gemilerine hizmet verebilecek en son teknolojik donanıma sahip olacak. Teslimat ile birlikte Marport ekipman parkındaki STS vinç sayısı 10’a çıkacak.

Marport Container Terminal’s Expansion and Modernization Project was started in 2001 with the Marport Main Terminal and continued in 2003 with the Marport West Terminal. The project was completed at the end of 2006. The overall project included expanding the port area to 409.000 sqm, purchasing 9 STS’s, 35 RTG’s, 1 RMG and 72 terminal trucks and implementing the Navis terminal operating system.

In subsequent years, Marport continued to make regular investments, extending the West Terminal by 60 meters at the end of 2011 to make it a total of 760 meters long. In addition to extending the length of the dock, a mooring dolphin has been constructed 30 meters from the dock.

With the investment that Marport made with Turkcell in 2012, it created a 3G network within the port. The investment increased access speed at the port 250% and made it possible to manage all port operations from the head office. This investment also made it possible to monitor the reefer containers that keep foodstuffs at a specific temperature from the office, and to control and report temperatures remotely. Marport operations are always customer-focused, and so it has created a system that records information requests, complaints, suggestions and all other feedback. In addition to the Marport website, this system is integrated with the Marport app found on smart phones and kiosks at the port entrance. Not only can estimated import warehousing be calculated and vehicles queries be made from smart phones and the kiosks at the entrance with the administrative building, but the vessel docking schedule can be obtained and customers can stay abreast of innovations at Marport.

Marport also makes investments to protect the environment. In 2012, it completed the Main - West Terminal sections of the Electrification of Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (E-RTG) project that it began in 2011. Operating the 35 RTG cranes in Marport’s Main and Western Terminals with electrical power achieves energy savings of 85%. Delivery of a Ship-to Shore-Gantry Crane (STS) is expected in September 2013, and it will feature the latest technological equipment and be able to serve 20 container vessels. This delivery will bring the number of STS cranes in Marport’s equipment fleet to 10.

Marport CFS (konteyner işlem istasyonu) hizmetleri, Marport ve Arkas güvencesi altında Marport’un Ambarlı bölgesinde anlaşmalı olduğu taşeron firmalar tarafından sağlanıyor. CFS hizmetleri saha konteyner iç dolum, boşaltma, etiketleme, elleçleme, konteyner içi kağıt kaplama, hava yastığı, gümrük tarafından talep edilen muayene ve/veya numune ve tam tespit hizmetlerini içeriyor. Marport CFS sahaları; ambar ve parsiyel kargo bölümü ithalat-ihracat ve konteyner işlem sahası, ve hava şartlarından etkilenmesi mümkün ve korunması gereken eşyalar için sundurma bölümü olmak üzere 3 alandan oluşuyor. Marport CFS sahalarında günde ortalama 535 TEU’luk bir konteyner trafiği gerçekleşiyor. CFS işlemleri, müşteri istekleri ve mal ihtiyacına göre işçi ve/veya forkliftler aracılığı ile sağlanıyor. Terminallerde 2, 3, 5, 7, 20 ve 32 ton kapasiteli forkliftlerle değişik tarz ve ağırlıkta sevkiyatlara destek olunabiliyor. Ayrıca mal cinslerine özel forklift ataşmanları (özel varil - kimyasal, kağıt tahliye ataşmanları) ile servis yapılıyor. CFS sahalarında hizmet verilmesi planlanan taşmalı, ağır tonajlı ve özel işlem gerektiren sevkiyatlarla ilgili detaylı bilgi Ticaret ve Müşteri İlişkileri Departmanı’ndan alınabilir.

CFS, AMBAR ve SAHA HİZMETLERİ CFS, YARD and WAREHOUSE SERVICES

Container Freight Station (CFS) services at Marport’s Ambarlı terminals are provided by sub-contractors according to standards set by Marport and Arkas. CFS services include loading, unloading, labeling and handling of containers in the yard, lining the inside of containers with paper and air bags as well as inspections and/or samples or full evaluations as required by customs. Marport’s CFS has 3 sections: warehouse and LCL cargo, export and import container processing area, and a covered area for weather-sensitive cargo. Marport CFS services handle an average of 535 TEU per day. CFS procedures are carried out with workers and/or forklifts depending on customer requests and the type of goods. Terminals can provide support for shipments of various types and weights with 2, 3, 5, 7, 20 and 32 ton forklifts. Special forklift attachments (special attachments for unloading barrels, chemicals or paper) are used depending on the type of cargo. The Commercial and Customer Relations Department can provide additional information regarding shipments to be handled in the CFS yard that are oversized heavy weight or which require special procedures.

Marport provides warehousing and storage service for LCL (less than container load) cargo. The capacity of the existing main terminal warehouse has risen %60 on a euro-pallet basis to 4164 pallets. Labels identify the goods on every pallet in the warehouse. The SAP system used in the warehouse of the Main Terminal identifies which goods are stored on which shelf.

Marport Cep Terminali’nde verilen hizmetler, Marport’un Ambarlı Bölgesi’nde bulunan taşeron firmaları tarafından Marport ve Arkas güvencesi altında sağlanıyor. Marport Cep Terminali gümrüksüz saha olma özelliğine sahip olup 9.000 m2’lik bir alan üzerinde 2 platform olarak 7/ 24 kesintisiz güvenli saha içi dolum hizmeti veriyor. RMG adı verilen vinçle günlük kapasitesi artırılan sahada müşteri talepleri ve mal ihtiyacına göre işçi ve forkliftler aracılığı ile saha iç dolum hizmeti veriliyor. Marport Cep Terminali’nde 3, 5, 7 ve 20 ton kapasiteli forkliftlerle değişik tarz ve ağırlıkta sevkiyatlarla destek olunabiliyor. Ayrıca mal cinslerine göre farklı forklift ataşmanları kullanılıyor.

CEP TERMİNALİLAND TERMINAL

Services provided at the Marport Land Terminal are carried out by sub-contractors in Marport’s Ambarlı Region according to standarts set by Marport and Arkas. Marport’s auxillary terminal is a non-bonded area that provides uninterrupted 24/7 on-site loading services with 2 platforms on 9,000 square meters. The yard has been equipped with an RMG crane to increase daily capacity. Loading services in the yard are provided by laborers or forklifts based on customer requests and the type of goods. Various types and weights of shipments can be handled at Marport Land Terminal with 3, 5, 7 and 20 forklifts. Different forklift attachments are also used based on the type of goods being handled.

ExpressMarport’ta terminallere giriş çıkışlardaki kapı operasyonlarına hız kazandırmak amacı ile Express kullanılıyor. Sistem aynı zamanda ön kayıt ve rezervasyon olanağı ile Marport kapı memurlarına her yeni kapı işlemi için kayıt yaratmak yerine sadece konfirmasyon yapma olanağı sağlıyor.

WebAccessNavis WebAccess aracılığıyla terminallerin internet bağlantısı sağlanarak, müşterilerin kendi operasyonlarını yürütmek için ihtiyaç duydukları doğru verilere 24 saat ulaşma imkanı sunuluyor. Web Access ile anında güncel veriye sahip online raporlar alınabiliyor. Marport Terminallerindeki bir konteynerin her hareketi ile ilgili veri anında güncelleniyor.

SPARCSSPARCS allows better yard utilization and more efficient use of equipment. It is implementation at Marport has resulted in optimized vessel planning, yard allocation and equipment dispatch.

ExpressMarport uses the Express to streamline gate operations. Express utilizes a broad range of electronic data interchange (EDI) formats that enable the terminal to communicate effectively with clients. Express can also handle advance registration and booking capability, enabling Marport’s gate clerks to simply confirm rather than create for each new gate transaction.

WebAccessTerminals are accessible on the World Wide Web through NAVIS WebAccess, ensuring that the data customers need to manage their operations is accurate and available 24 hours a day Web Access provides real-time reports. Each time a container is moved at any Marport terminal, the relevant data is updated.

Marport, 2005 yılında sağlık emniyet ve çevre uygulamaları alanında pilot bölge olarak seçildi. Bu konuda kanunlara ve uluslararası standartlara (İş Emniyeti ve Sağlığı Birliği ve ILO-Uluslararası Çalışma Örgütü) uymakta kararlı olan Marport, dünyanın önde gelen şirketlerinin bu alandaki uygulamalarını örnek alarak çalışmalarını sürdürdü. 2007 yılının Mart ayında Marport Ambarlı Liman Tesisleri için OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 ve ISO 14001 sertifikalarını alarak Türkiye’de kendi alanında belgelenmiş ilk işletme oldu. Marport’ta İş Sağlığı, İş Emniyeti ve Çevre konusunda tüm çalışanlara teorik ve pratik eğitimler veriliyor. İşlerdeki tehlike ve risk tespitleri sonucunda değerlendirmeler yapılıyor. Günlük saha kontrolleri, emniyetsiz durum ve davranış nedenlerinin araştırılması, istatistiksel incelemelerle bu nedenlerin ortadan kalkması için çeşitli yöntemler geliştiriliyor.

In March 2005 Marport has been selected as a pilot area for implementation of health, safety and environment programs and positive steps have been taken to develop an even safer and healthier port environment. Marport has resolved not only to conform to national laws and international standards (Occupational Safety and Health Administration and ILO-International Labor Organization), but also to follow the example of leading international companies applying these standards. Marport received OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates in March 2007, and became the first certified port in the Turkish sector. Marport provides theoretical and practical training to all employees in the subjects of Occupational Health,Occupational Safety and the Environment. It also identifies workplace risk and hazards and carries out risk assessments. Daily inspections,investigations into causes of unsafe situations and behavior as well as statistical studies provide a basis for developing a variety of methods to eliminate the sources of risk.

Arkas (Marport) modern limancılık anlayışında, deniz taşı- macılığı sektöründe güvenliği tehdit eden eylemleri tespit etmek ve caydırmak için gemi ve liman tesislerinin, bünyesinde işbirliği yapabileceği uluslararası bir yapı tesis etmek amacıyla, 01 Temmuz 2005 tarihinde ISPS gerekliliklerini yerine getirerek ISPS Sertifikasını aldı ve Denizcilik Müsteşarlığı’nın onayladığı Liman Tesis Güvenlik Planını uygulamaya başladı.

ISPS Kod gerekliliklerini en iyi şekilde yerine getirmek maksadıyla, özel güvenlik teşkilatı kuruldu. Marport güvenlik departmanı, liman tesis güvenlik sorumlusu idaresinde güvenlik planını uygularken özellikle;

• Güvenlik tehtidlerini tespit etmek ve uluslararası ticarette kullanılan gemileri ve liman tesislerini etkileyen güvenlik tehtidlerini önleyici önlemler almak amacıyla tesis ettiği yapıyı daima geliştiriyor.

• Liman tesisine girişler ve çıkışlar daima kontrol altında tutuluyor. ISPS kodun öngördüğü uygulamalar ayrıca elektronik güvenlik sistemleri ile destekleniyor.

• Yükün korunması için ve emniyet maksatlı olarak girişlerin yetkilendirildiği sınırlı alanlar oluşturuldu ve bu alanları ve liman gözlemlemek maksadıyla CCTV sistemi kuruldu.

• Marport Güvenlik Planı ve Güvenlik Departmanı, Denizcilik Müsteşarlığı tarafından her yıl ISPS Kod gerekliliklerinin yerine getirildiğine ve uygunluğuna dair denetlemekte, ISPS sertifikası vize edilmektedir.

ISPS Uluslararası Gemi ve Liman Tesisi Güvenlik KoduISPS International Shipping and Port Facil it ies Security

A modern approach to port operations requires international collaboration to construct ship and port facilities that are capable of identifying and preventing actions which pose a threat to maritime security. In keeping with this philosophy, on July 1, 2005 Arkas (Marport) obtained ISPS Certification by meeting the requirements of the ISPS Code and began implementation of the Port Facility Security Plan approved by the Maritime Undersecretary’s Office.

A private security was founded in order to ensure maximum compliance with ISPS code requirements. As it implements the security plan under the administration of the port facility security supervisor, the Marport security departments carries out the following duties:• Continually developing the structure it has established to identify security risks and to take measure which prevent security risks that affect vessels and ports used for international trade.• Always maintaining full control over entry to and exit from the port facilities. Using additional electronic security system to support the procedures required by the ISPS code.• In order to protect cargo and for security reasons, restricted areas have been established where entrance must be authorized and a CCTV system has been installed to monitor these areas and the port in general.• In order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the ISPS Code, the Maritime Undersecretary’s Office annually audits the Marports Security Plan and Security Department and endorses the ISPS certification.

KALİTE YÖNETİMİ MÜKEMMELLİK MODELİ QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, EXCELLENCE MODEL

With the quality efforts launched in 2006, Marport established and certified the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. It joined the National Quality Movement in 2010 and adopted the EFQM Excellence Model to receive the Competency in Excellence award at the conclusion of the assessments conducted by KALDER. As part of the process of moving forward in its pursuit of excellence, the ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction and Complaint Management System was established at the end of 2012 with the goal of improving the quality of service rendered to the customer and enhancing customer satisfaction. With the ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction and Complaint Management System, Marport systematically handles feedback such as complaints, demands, suggestions and information requests and ensures that customers receive an answer as quickly as possible by recording the feedback to the system via its website and the kiosks at the port.
