The Annual Quality Assurance Report of the IQAC

Part A

The plan of action chalked put by the IQAC in the beginning of the year towards

quality enhancement and the outcome achieved by the end of the year.

� Successful quality enhancement programs encourage the development of enhanced

intellectual awareness among students and improved academic performance among

faculties. With the aim of appreciation of different perspectives and close

interaction with Principal and IQAC team members, three meetings of IQAC were

held during the academic year 2011-12.

� The first meeting focused on planning different activities under each committee.

The whole co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are undertaken under

different committees. The second meeting aimed at collection of information in

regards to midterm performance of chairman and co-chairman of different

committees. The last meeting aimed at knowing the actual outcome achieved by

the end of the year.

� The plan of action related to academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular

activities for the academic year was framed out after proper thinking of

suggestions from Principal, committee in-charge professors and students.

Part B :

1. Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the instruction:

students’ excellence

a. Academic

� New entrants are given detailed information about academics by the

Principal during counseling .

� Syllabus is framed by Board of studies of different subjects. Ordinance in

respect of academic programme of study are prepared by the senate. The

vigor’s of academic studies is enhanced by other Co-curricular activities.

Special guests speaker are invited on varied topics of academic

relevance. These lectures are held during free lectures of time- table

schedule.

� Seminars and Workshops are also organized by the college and

resource persons with wide knowledge and experience are invited for the

same. The college also maintains academic relations with other colleges

and organize students and faculty visits. Faculties and Principal visit

other colleges to deliver special lectures.

� Innovative ideas are put to practice whenever received from lecturers and

students.

� The academic atmosphere at the college is a rare blend of modern day

technical skills as well as traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge.

� Students who have qualified from this college have made outstanding

achievements and exhibited good conduct and leadership qualities.

� For academic excellence academic programme starts from day one. Time

table is prepared and allotted to teachers on the last day of summer

vacation.

� An ideal teaching environment can be experienced on the college campus

because the college is situated away from the city area and the academic

work is conducted under complete silent environment; greenery all over

the campus gives shade and breeze on the campus.

� Students queries are solved by the teachers whenever seeked for.

� Remedial Classes are conducted for slow learners.

� Workshops and seminars are conducted to upgrade our students with new

topics in different subjects.

� Arrangement of faculties is done in advance for proxy lectures.

� Experienced academic staff comes up with innovative ways to teach the

students.

� Students suggestions & opinions are always welcomed and necessary

changes are made accordingly.

d. Development of Skills � Our college focuses on different activities and programmes with the

strongest impacts on development of skills of students. Lectures and

training programmes related to An Art of Effective Debate, Elocution

etc. Public Speaking, Personality Development, Secrets of Success,

Corruption Awareness, Swami Vivekananda and Leadership skill were

conducted.

� Free classes of Information Technology are conducted each year for

students and faculty members.

� Programmes like charity day, donation at Blind school & Differently

abled Schools enhance their knowledge and awareness of Social

Responsibility.

� Students sing prayers and do announcements from central mike system.

� Master of ceremony responsibility is given to students so that they gain

confidence get rid of stage fear and develop public speaking skill.

� Poem writing, Novel writing Essay writing etc. competitions are

organized to develop their writing skills.

� Rangoli, Mehdi, Best out of waste, Poster Making, On the spot drawing

competitions are organized to enhance creativity among students.

e. Value inculcation

� Teachers play an important role in inculcating moral values among

students. Our college Principal and Staff make them understand the

importance of imbibing moral & ethical values.

� College lectures begins with a prayer a valuable thought for the day.

Besides, a rich Thought picture gallery is maintained in the college.

� In case of indiscipline by students, Parents are immediately called open

and consulted by the Principal.

� T.Y.B.Com. academic curriculum also consists chapters related to values

and ethics.

� Co-curricular and extracurricular activities are framed in such a manner

that there is a direct impact of values on students.

� Bhajan (Devotee song) competition poem recitation, Sanskrit sloka

competition, Prayer competition Essay and Debate competition

consisting topics of value & ethics etc. are organized.

� Retired teachers are invited and felicitated by the students on teachers

day celebration

� Volunteers of Brahmakumaris are invited to deliver lecture on Moral and

Values.

� Exam without Block supervisor was also conducted to teach the students

lessons of honesty and truth.

� Students visit to old-age home, orphanage, Gandhiji Smarak Dharasana

etc. is organized.

� We train them for time management, discipline maintaining, welcome

guest, organize different programme and anchoring programme etc.

� Principal and teachers always makes efforts to inculcate values in

students to become a good human being

� On central mike system students sing prayers & thereafter college

teaching work starts.

� N.S.S. Unit & Youth RedCross Unit also make efforts to bring awareness

about service to society.

f. Academic Environment

� Our efforts to set up ideal academic environment which can provide great

aid to learning experience of our students are always committed and

consistent.

� New entrants are made aware of established rules during admission

counseling.

� Time table of lecture are given before vacations and teaching starts from

day one to prior day of Library assignments and exams which includes

revision also.

� Indiscipline is never tolerated parents are consulted personally by the

Principal if any case arises.

� Positive punishments are given to students.

� It is compulsory for students to be on time.

� Identity cards are compulsory to wear.

� Cleanliness is given highest priority. Full time sweepers are appointed to

keep the classes and campus clean. Students are also taught to maintain

cleanliness.

� Our college is situated away from city in green lush campus with big

garden and play ground complete silence is maintained on the campus.

� Effective classroom teaching and learning process is maintained.

� We provide best academic environment to the students because every

student is special for us.

� We display all the academic activities /Programme on our college notice

board as well as announcing on central mike system.

� We begin our each day with prayer by students and good thought by the

faculty.

� Professional faculty from outside are invited to teach the students in their

subject during free periods.

� Subject related C.D.’s are available

� We provide fearless atmosphere to the students at the time of

examinations.

� First subject toppers and over-all toppers in the university exams are

awarded with the cash prizes.

� Professors and administrative staff are helpful to the student to solve

their difficulties before and after college hours and during recess.

� Along with co- curricular activities many extra curricular activities are

also carried out to develop and exhibit students talents.

2 Innovations in curricular design and transaction:

� New syllabus for S.Y.B.Com two semesters was designed by University

and introduced in college affiliated to it.

3 Inter disciplinary programmes started : Environmental studies is an inter

disciplinary subject for every students of first year.

4 Examination reforms implemented :

� Students take their seats before 15 minutes of exam timings.

� Exams are commenced after prayers.

� One students one bench is allotted

� Answer booklets exhibit no single identity of students. Seat numbers are

covered with stickers.

5 Candidates qualified : NET/SLET/GATE etc. :- NIL

6 Initiative towards faculty development programme :

� To enhance faculty members abilities to teach more efficiently and

effectively, framing faculty development initiatives have become

continuous and life-long learning process. Faculties are motivated to

participate and present paper in seminars and conferences. This provides

continuing professional growth of the faculties. Faculties are free to

purchase resource materials, latest reference book, data collection for

research study. Expense is borne by college.

� All the faculty members are motivated to participial to attend seminars

and workshop based on faculty development one seminar for non

teaching administrative staff was also organized .

� Twelve seminars and four workshops were organized at local level (Self

funded)

� One seminar for administrative staff was organized.

in each Annual Day Celebration and Prize Distribution Ceremony of the

� Every year compulsory Medical Check- up of students is done. College

have also appointed Dr. Gumansingh as Medical Doctor of the College.

He is immediately called upon during emergency. Ambulance is

immediately called and students are sent to hospital for treatment instead

of sending them home.

� Youth Red Cross Unit run in college which gives “First Aid” training to

students This unit also prepares an “Emergency Response Team”. Special

Training of “Disaster Rescue and Flood Rescue” is also given to students

at Sinor river Baroda. Eye Donation Awareness Programme are held by

this unit. Gynecologist is invited to deliver lecture especially for girls.

Special Visit to Blood Bank is organized to bring awareness among

students for Blood Donation by Youth Red Cross Unit.

� Guidance and Counseling cell of the College keeps students informed

with different competitive exams, Bank recruitment exams, Railway

recruitment exams, NET/SLET exams, Public services Exams etc. This

cell also maintains required set of latest books and reading material for

such exams. Special classes are conducted to prepare students to appear

for such exams. Mock tests and interviews are arranged for the students.

Campus Interviews are arranged for the students studying in T.Y.B.Com

and M. Com. Students. This cell helps students to solve any query related

to competitive exams and employment.
