Kärcher invented the hot water pressure washer in the 1950’s and has now per-fected the heating of water under high pressure with several patented inno-

vations that deliver significant heating efficiency resulting in 25% or more fuel savings—enough to pay for the equipment in two to three years, depending the price of fuel and equipment usage. among the innovations: [1] a high-efficiency

burner shoots the flame down onto a firebrick floor that deflects the heat evenly back up and around the coil tubing; [2] a double-pass coil forces the water to pass through the heating chamber twice; and [3] outside air is used to create a thermal insulation barrier around the heating coil while simultaneously pre-heating the air for

optimum combustion.
