    WHEN CALLED UPON McCormick did

    not disappoint. In a rush rst offense,

    the signal caller

    was one of the

    best at managing

    the game. He

    completed 67

    percent of his

    passes with 13

    touchdowns

    and just two

    interceptions. He set

    program records for

    single-season andcareer completions,

    completition percentage, yards and TDs.

    SEASON STATS: 815 passing yards, 15

    total touchdowns.

    EVANS WAS THE go-to-guy out of

    the backeld, guiding the Chiefs to a

    second straight

    undefeated

    regular season.

    He became the

    schools all-time

    leading rusher as

    he nished his

    three-year varsity

    career with over

    4,000 yards.

    17 touchdowns

    SENIOR / RUNNING BACK

    MILLER LED Astrong ground attackwith over 1,500 yards and helping the

    Rebels to the

    Class 2A semis.

    The punishing

    back recorded a

    season-high 255

    yards against

    Annawan/

    Wetherseld. Healso sealed a sec-

    ond-round win over

    Deer Creek-Mackinaw

    with an interception.

    THE SENIOR WAS Ajack-of-all-trades, leading the Indians to a third

    consecutive Class

    1A playoff berth.

    Beekman was

    the teams leader

    in rushing and

    receiving and

    scored eight ways.

    ONE THING ABOUT COACH WINKLER

    NO ONE KNOWS: He is a sweetheart like a giant teddy bear.

    us to make the playoffs but we pulled it

    together and got it done. I would like to

    thank coach Winkler and Bennet for a

    THE BIG POSSESSION RECEIVERcame down key catches. He also

    played a vital role

    in the running

    game, with key

    blocks that

    opened up wide

    running lanes.

    21 receptions,426 yards and

    four touchdowns.

    all-Heart of Illinois

    CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Never losing to

    Tremont.

    FAVORITE PRO PLAYER: Michael Vick.

    FAVORITE SIDELINE REPORTER: JimMattson its got to be the hair.

    QUOTE: I will never forget our senior

    class career record of 22-2. We were

    pretty successful.

    QUOTE: A lot of younger players

    stepped up this season to help get

    us to the playoffs again. Not a lot ofpeople expected us to win many games

    defensive lineman in my last game.
