Antique Automobile Club of America Tioga Region
Presidents Welcome
The twenty-sixth annual Tioga Region car show is not only challenging because of
the change of venue that was forced on us by mother nature, but also because we once
again have lost two valued members of our small group. First we lost Steve Boettger, a
long time member and nationally known senior judge for AACA. Steve will be honored
this show with his beloved Nash Metropolitan being featured on our show field. The
small car seems to hold a very big man for those of us who knew him. The second member of our club who passed was Fred Hudson. Fred had been in-
volved with the club since our beginning in 1984. We were not able to bring his 1949
Pontiac to the field this time but we will be awarding a trophy for the best Pontiac in
Fred's honor. The last position Fred held in our club was treasurer, a demanding position
that he handled with proficiency. In our twenty six annual car shows there was only one that did not succeed, that was
the year when The Hickories was under water. For this reason it was a difficult decision
to make the change in venue that we have made. The early uncertainty that surrounded
the usefulness of The Hickories forced us to look for a location that not only was large
enough, but also convenient enough, to hold a show of the size and scope of our show.
We are thrilled to be here at Bement Billings but look forward to returning to The Hick-
ories next year. Our small and dedicated group of car enthusiasts are always open to new members or
persons who seek information concerning our club. Ownership of a collector car is not
necessary to belong, but membership in The Antique Automobile Club of America is re-
quired to join Tioga Region. Ask any member for more information. Enjoy the show and thank you for your interest!!!!

Maurice and Anne Stoughton's 1946
Ford Sedan We bought our '46 Ford in
September, of 2003. Our car is a Ford or
Super Deluxe with a six cylinder L-head
engine with a displacement of 226.0 cu.
in. making a 90 HP engine. Model 6 GA.
The color is Ford's Botsford blue-green.
Our car has twin outside door mirrors, a
clock that works. heater-defroster, and
seat covers, with no radio however. We
have added turn signals for safety, and
radial tires for a better ride and handling. After WW II, Ford started automobile
production on July 3, 1945. Ford had a
brilliant slogan: "There's a Ford in your
future" with "Ford" in a crystal ball. The
46's were mildly face lifted 42's. The
base price for the V-8 was $1,260., and
for the 6 was $ 1,211. We enjoy taking our car for rides and
we know where all the ice cream stands
are.
