ONLINE  CHRISTMAS  SHOPPING  HABITS    OF  UK  CONSUMERS  

 Over  50%  of  UK  shoppers  buy  more  than  75%  of  Christmas  giIs  online  More  than  50%  of  UK  shoppers  now  do  over  75%  of  their  Christmas  shopping  online,  with  only  3%  claiming  they  don’t  buy  any  of  their  Christmas  giBs  over  the  internet.    Men  almost  twice  as  likely  to  do  100%  of  Christmas  shopping  online  Men  and  women  are  equally  as  likely  to  shop  online,  however  men  are  almost  twice  as  likely  to  do  100%  of  their  Christmas  shopping  without  hiGng  the  high  street  (14%  of  men  vs  8%  of  women).      Shoppers  in  20’s  and  30’s  buy  most  online  The  most  enthusiasMc  online  Christmas  shoppers  are  in  their  20’s  and  30’s  with  60%  choosing  to  buy  over  75%  of  their  Christmas  giBs  online.        64%  of  ‘Silver  Surfers  by  over  50%  of  their  giIs  over  the  internet  Even  so  called  ‘silver  surfers’  are  geGng  in  on  the  act,  with  only  8%  of  over  60’s  saying  they  do  not  buy  any  giBs  online,  and  a  massive  64%  using  the  internet  to  buy  over  50%  of  their  Christmas  giBs.
