Part One:

On 11 July 2012, DIAC (Kaniva and Marama mailboxes) received the below information

from AMSA. In summary, contacted AMSA seeking information about five

family members who had been at sea for more than 10 days (as at 11 July).

This information was initially entered onto the possible missing persons from Kaniva

spreadsheet, however the entries have now been separated from this spreadsheet as we(IAS) believe they were not on either the Kaniva or Marama vessels. Due to the amount

of contacts we have received about the Kaniva boat, this information was not processed

until mid last week.

We have checked DIAC holdings for the below names and have found no close or nearmatches.

On 19 July 2012, we received the below information from DIAC's Integrity Officer in Dubai. In

summary, Rashid Al Hasan the Head of Palestinian Human Rights Association in Cyprus contacted ouroffice in relation to seven Palestinians who were previously in Cyprus and are believed to have travelled on

a boat from Indonesia to Australia on 28 June 2012.

We have not identified any close or exact matches to the names provided below. I have asked tofollow up with Mr Al Hasan to see if we can obtain photos of those mentioned below.

This information was initially entered onto the possible missing persons from Kanivaspreadsheet, however the entries have now been separated from this spreadsheet as we(IAS) believe they were not on either the Kaniva or Marama vessels. On 19 July 2012, we received the below information from DIAC's Integrity Officer in Dubai. In

summary, Rashid Al Hasan the Head of Palestinian Human Rights Association in Cyprus contacted ouroffice in relation to seven Palestinians who were previously in Cyprus and are believed to havetravelled on a boat from Indonesia to Australia on 28 June 2012.

We have not identified any close or exact matches to the names provided below. I have asked tofollow up with Mr Al Hasan to see if we can obtain photos of those mentioned below.
