First North-KoreanR estaurant Ou tside theEternal Country

Few days ago, it opened in Amsterdam the first

North-Korean restaurant abroad: the PyongyangRestaurant.

Most likely Kim Jong-Un won't be there to welcomeyou, nevertheless is a quite interesting idea.

Although the cooks, the waiters, food, interiors, music, everything is North-Korean, the businesshas been set by two shrwed Dutchmen: henceforthdon't be surprised to pay 79 euro for a fixed menu

based on kimchi dishes…

CCTV police officer 'chasedhimself' after being mistakenfor burglar. (Isn'it ?)

From the Daily Telegraph:

“As the probationary officer from Sussex Policesearched for suspects, the camera operator

radioed that he had seen someone “actingsuspiciously” in the area.

But he failed to realise that it was actually theplain-clothed officer he was watching on the

screen, according to details leaked to an industrymagazine.”

And if you like the image, here you get a wholewebsite devoted to Kim Jong-Un looking atdifferent things: http://kimjongunlookingatthings.tumblr.com/ (in Italian we say: "tale padre, talefiglio".

Eating in the Street

Another thing I really like in Bangkok is to eat onthe street. Where you get the best food.

My favorite place, is on S ukhumvit, near Rex Hotel(a px in front of Soy 49). Th e water spinaches aregreat, as well as the morning glo ry. If you likeveggies and tofu, this place is best...

Paradise Lost

Yesterday I received a link from Dominic Wilcox. Itwas about a friend of him, s etting up a newfashion label.

An interesting project: ms Olwen Bourke launchedher fashion label in 2012 with her collection -Paradise Lost.

She writes: "Each garment incorporates somematerials that have been found or re-claimed,giving the garment its own personal story ofotherwise wasted textiles.

Each pieces is handmade in her London studio asone off item, maintaining its unique quality andcelebrating the idea of individuality".

W./E.

The other day Laura Perin came out with this ideaof watching this W.E, the new movie by Madonna.Didn't know about it, but it seemed a good idea.

Went to watch it last night. The movie could havebeen some twenty minutes shorter but it was veryok. It's the story of Wallis Simpson and the Duke ofWindsor from Wallis' point of view.

Anyway apart from the story, not only the moviewas ok, but it was also a great show on the finestXXth century fashion. Very nice.

I like Madonna because she's always busy ininteresting things (some of them don't work out sonicely but this is what happens when you try).

the United States, which sacrificed vast amountsof money after both World War I and World War II,that Germany is financially stable today and holdsthe status of Europe's headmaster. That fact, unfortunately, often seems to be forgotten.”(Albrecht Ritschl, economic historian).

Here the interview on Spiegel where mr Ritschlexplains in a rather convincing way why currentGerman requests to Greeks are totally ludicrous:

One of the nice thing of designing your own houseis that you know yourself, what you like and allthese silly things.

Henceforth, i can tell you that one of the nicestthings of being in Bangkok, is to be naked up inthe terrace, smoking a puff and sipping somecoffee under the tropical sun.

It is even nicer when it rains, because it is a warmrain. But then, of course, when it rains, myshadow gets to be very shy and she hides (makingimpossible to take a picture of it).

Here you can see the house (design with msRachaporn Choochuey and all(zone): http://www.archdaily.com/.../shophouse-transformation.../

I went to see this exhibition by all(zone)architects. Very nice idea. You are invited to

exhibit your works and you produce a specialorigami-folding. Then, you compose an A4 (bothsides) with your projects and thoughts, and youmake a wall with endless folded A4.

Next to it, a stack of papers: visitors can takethem and they are invited to replicate the(apparently easy, actually very complex) foldingtrick. Lovely.
