    invited for a French language instructor beginning August2013. The position will be filled at the level of Lecturer orSenior Lecturer. The initial term of appointment will be threeyears, with the possibility of renewal. Minimum requirementsinclude the M.A. or M.S. in foreign language pedagogy, lin-guistics, or a related field; candidates with the PhD are alsowelcome to apply. The candidate should have native or near-native proficiency in French, the ability to instruct a diversestudent population at the introductory through advancedlevels of French language acquisition, and demonstrated teach-ing experience. It is desirable that the candidate has a success-ful track record teaching college French and show interestin building a community of French speakers at various levelsof proficiency.

    Responsibilities will include: anchoring a French languagesequence from beginning to advanced levels; teaching an in-troduction to French and Francophone culture; administrationof courses shared with our Bi-College partners at Bryn Mawr;and sustaining a co-curricular program of engagement withFrench majors and other interested students.
