In the 20-year history of the conference, the Blue and White has won a league-best 87 championships, including 45 men’s titles and 42 women’s crowns. 3 The Blue and White boasts four conference Players of the Year. Men’s basketball sophomore Aaron Walton-Moss , men’s lacrosse junior Corey Elmer and women’s lacrosse sophomore Lacie Doubet captured the CSAC’s top individual honor, while sophomore Evan Strickland was named AMCC Co- Swimmer of the Year. 4 Cabrini’s tradition of impact first-year performers continued with four Rookies of the Year. Cassidy Koenig, Kerry Anne Farrell , and Nathalie Basunga took CSAC honors for volleyball, field hockey and women’s lacrosse, respectively, while women’s swimming’s Courtney Good secured the AMCC honor. 5 The Cavaliers’ women’s basketball team returned to the top of the CSAC with one of the best seasons in program history. The club used a 19-game win streak to post a 24-3 mark, tied for most wins in program history. The Blue and White also ranked among the nation’s best defensive and rebounding teams. 6 Junior Fran Rafferty became the 17th member of Cabrini’s men’s basketball 1,000-point club on March 22. Rafferty enters his senior season with 1,004 career points. Women’s basketball’s Brittany Sandone looks to join the women’s club in 2013–14, as she currently stands just 40 points short of the plateau. 7 Junior Corey Elmer became the third Cabrini men’s lacrosse player to be named a USILA First Team All-American. Elmer is the first Cavalier to reach 100 points in a season. He finished the 2013 campaign with 112 points on 57 goals and 55 assists. 8 Freshman Maura O’Connell accomplished a rare feat. The rookie, Cabrini’s only three-sport student-athlete, was an integral part of winning three CSAC championships, hoisting crowns in women’s soccer, basketball and lacrosse. 9 The Blue and White men’s lacrosse team extended its win streak to 96 consecutive regular season CSAC games, a streak that extends to 121 with postseason games, including 13 consecutive unbeaten seasons. Men and Women’s Cross CountryHead Coach: Tom O’Hora ([email protected])The Cabrini men and women’s cross country teams were led by head coach Tom O’Hora who completed his 30th season as coach. Senior Jeff Young anchored the team, posting five top 25 finishes, including a third place finish at the Belmont Classic. Freshman Stephanie Martin recorded an impressive rookie season, collecting three top 20 finishes, including a 12th place finish at the Immaculata Invitational. The men posted a seventh place finish at the CSAC Championship meet, while the women’s team placed 11th. Senior Brian Sugden and Martin led their respective squads.

Fall ‘12

Women’s SoccerHead Coach: Ken Prothero ([email protected])The Cabrini women’s soccer team won its second consecutive CSAC championship after a thrilling penalty kick shootout victory over Gwynedd-Mercy. The Cavaliers closed the season with a 7-1-3 mark in league play after surrendering just four goals in its final nine regular season games. Seniors Dana Drake and Maddy Edwards joined junior MaryKate McCann with All-CSAC First Team accolades, while junior Bree Thompson was named to the Second Team. Sophomore Melissa Scanzano and freshman Nicole Hallinan received Honorable Mention. McCann was also named to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Men’s SoccerHead Coach: Rob Dallas ([email protected])The Cabrini men’s soccer team returned to the top of the CSAC, earning the program’s eighth conference championship with a 2-1 win over Rosemont. A five game unbeaten streak helped the Cavaliers post a 5-2-2 conference mark. The club ended the season with a record of 11-7-4 after taking No. 15 Susquehanna to a penalty kick shootout in the NCAA Tournament. Senior Kyle Johnson, junior Brett Lockbaum and sophomore George Lambritsios earned All-CSAC First Team honors, while sophomore Sean Neary was named to the Second Team. Johnson was also named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team as well as an ECAC South All-Star.

Field HockeyHead Coach: Jackie Neary ([email protected])The Cabrini field hockey team made it to its fifth consecutive CSAC Championship game where it fell to Gwynedd-Mercy College for the second straight year. The Blue and White closed the season with a 6-1 conference record and 9-9 overall. Freshman Kerry Anne Farrell claimed CSAC Rookie of the Year honors and joined senior Lindsey Atzert on the All-CSAC First Team. Senior Rita McKeown and junior Erin McLaughlin earned Second Team accolades, while junior Genevieve Paulin and sophomore Karlie Gruccio received Honorable Mention. Twelve Cavaliers were named to the NFHCA/Gladiator National Academic Squad, including seniors Taylor McGarvey and Katie Savage who were named Scholars of Distinction.

Women’s TennisHead Coach: Chris Brown ([email protected])The Cabrini women’s tennis team narrowly missed the 2012 CSAC Tournament after closing the conference schedule with a 6-4 record. Junior Katie Kennedy earned All-CSAC Second Team honors after going 11-2 at No. 1 singles. The Blue and White got significant contributions from its four freshman, three of whom earned all-conference honors. Kennedy and rookie Nicole Broccolino earned Honorable Mention after going 5-0 in No. 1 doubles league matches. Freshmen Mackenzie Murray and Mia Scocozzo also earned Honorable Mention after posting a 5-1 conference record at No. 3 doubles. Former CSAC Player of the Year and Neumann University alum Chris Brown was tabbed as Cabrini’s new head coach in May.

VolleyballHead Coach: Eric Schaefer ([email protected])The Cabrini volleyball team advanced to its fifth consecutive CSAC championship match, before falling to Neumann in a tough five set defeat. The Cavaliers advanced to the semifinal round of the ECAC South Region Tournament before falling at Bethany College. The team posted its fifth consecutive 20-win season, finishing the campaign 20-10, including 10-1 in conference action. Freshman Cassidy Koenig was named CSAC Rookie of the Year and joined juniors Danielle Carrozza and Sophia Sokolovich with All-CSAC First Team honors. Senior Meg Ryan earned Second Team accolades, while junior Michele Fitz claimed Honorable Mention.

Winter ‘12-13

Men’s BasketballHead Coach: Marcus Kahn ([email protected])The Cabrini men’s basketball team returned to the NCAA Elite Eight after recording its fourth consecutive CSAC Championship. The Cavaliers closed the season with a 25-6 record and a No. 13 national ranking according to D3hoops.com. Sophomore Aaron Walton-Moss and head coach Marcus Kahn collected the CSAC Player and Coach of the Year awards, the fourth consecutive year the Cavaliers have swept the honors. Walton-Moss was also named a D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American as well as First Team All-Region by D3hoops.com and the NABC. Junior Fran Rafferty earned All-CSAC Second Team accolades and became the program’s 17th member of the 1,000-point club, reaching the plateau in Cabrini’s final game of the season.

Women’s BasketballHead Coach: Kate Pearson ([email protected])The Cabrini women’s basketball team recorded one of the best seasons in program history, as it hoisted its sixth CSAC crown with a 49-38 win over Gwynedd-Mercy. Head coach Kate Pearson earned CSAC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Blue and White to a 24-3 record and 19 game win streak, both best in school history. Junior Brittany Sandone was named to the All-CSAC First Team, while championship game MVP junior Annie Rivituso received Second Team accolades. The Cavaliers stepped onto the national scene, ranking in the top 10 in the country in rebounding margin, three-point defense and scoring defense.

Men’s SwimmingHead Coach: Cindy Ikeler ([email protected])The Cabrini men’s swimming team secured its third consecutive third place finish at the AMCC Championships, improving over 40 points from its 2012 finish. Sophomore Evan Strickland was named the league’s Co-Swimmer of the Year after placing second in the 100-yard freestyle and joining sophomore Nick Platt and juniors Keith Marr and Rocco Del Monte for a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The group’s championship performance was one of the team’s eight school record setting swims in 2012-13. Strickland, Marr, Del Monte and freshman Sean Tallon established new individual marks, while Marr, Strickland and Tallon joined rookie Chris Ryan to set a new record in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Women’s SwimmingHead Coach: Cindy Ikeler ([email protected])The Cavaliers women’s swimming team recorded its best-ever finish at the season-ending AMCC Championship meet, placing second. Head coach Cindy Ikeler was named AMCC Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year after the Blue and White captured 10 All-AMCC honors at the meet. Junior Courtney Good was named Newcomer of the Year after winning the 200-yard individual medley and placing second in the 100-yard back stroke. Freshman Alexis Drew won the 100-yard butterfly and junior Breaghann Smith took the one mile freestyle, while the trio joined junior Elyse Phillips to win the 800-yard freestyle relay. Smith also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle, as the Blue and White also captured the 200- and 400-yard freestyle and medley relays.

Spring ‘13

GolfHead Coach: Brian Moose ([email protected])The Cabrini golf team closed the season with a second place finish in the CSAC Championship. Junior Rob Bass and sophomore Tommy Breslin led the Cavaliers in a four-way tie for fourth, garnering All-CSAC First Team honors. Both carded two-day scores of 162. The Cavaliers posted a total of 28 individual top 10 finishes on the year. Bass led the way with wins at the Cabrini Spring Invitational and Cabrini Spring Classic. Fellow junior Pat Rooney added three top five finishes, including placing second at the Philadelphia University Tri-Match and the Moravian College Tri-Match.

Men’s LacrosseHead Coach: Steve Colfer ([email protected])Cabrini’s men’s lacrosse team continued its reign atop the CSAC, claiming a 13th consecutive league title and extending its conference win streak to 96 regular season games. The Cavaliers closed the season with a 15-4 mark and collected 16 All-CSAC awards, including head coach Steve Colfer and junior Corey Elmer who claimed Coach and Player of the Year honors. Elmer also became the program’s third USILA First Team All-American, leading a record seven Cavaliers receiving All-American accolades. Seniors Tim Grenier, Andrew Kvech and Bobby Thorp joined sophomores Anthony DiNenno, Anthony DiSanzo and Damian Sobieski with All-America honorable mention.

Women’s LacrosseHead Coach: Jackie Neary ([email protected])The Cavaliers raised their 12th CSAC championship trophy after topping Neumann in 2013. The Blue and White outscored its opponents 146-36 in league play, as it went 8-0 in conference, the program’s 10th perfect CSAC season. Cabrini swept the CSAC’s End of Year Awards, as head coach Jackie Neary claimed her seventh Coach of the Year award, while sophomore Lacie Doubet and freshman Nathalie Basunga claimed Player and Rookie of the Year honors. Junior Bree Thompson joined Doubet and Basunga on the All-CSAC First Team, while senior Christina Pasquariello, juniors Janel Folkomer and Erin McLaughlin, sophomore Melissa Scanzano and freshman Katie Lasater earned Second Team accolades.

SoftballHead Coach: Mitchell Kline ([email protected])The Cabrini softball team posted a 14-20 overall record under first-year head coach Mitchell Kline. The Cavaliers recorded a 14-10 CSAC record including a seven-game win streak early in the season and a four-game win streak to close the year. Senior Lindsey Atzert earned All-CSAC First Team honors after hitting .396 with 38 base hits and 21 runs scored. Freshman Kaitlyn Cooper received Second Team accolades after matching a .350 batting average with 36 hits, 17 RBI’s and 20 runs. Senior Marcelle Crist led the Blue and White in the pitcher’s circle, recording a career-high 61 strikeouts in 106.2 innings, including a string of six starts with at least six strikeouts each.

Men’s TennisHead Coach: Larney Baylis ([email protected])Cabrini’s men’s tennis team recorded a 2-5 mark in conference play under first year head coach Larney Baylis. The duo of senior Ryan Juhring and sophomore Anthony DiCicco earned All-CSAC First Team accolades after going 8-2 at No. 2 doubles, including 6-1 in CSAC play. DiCicco was named to the All-CSAC Second Team for singles after leading the Blue and White with a 4-2 league record at No. 2 singles. Juhring added a trio of singles victories, while newcomer Joe Halberr added two. The Cavaliers also got significant contributions from seniors Mark Cuevas, Nate Krieger, Ian Monson and Abui Santos, as well as sophomore Sean Neary and freshman Colin Kilroy.
