Board of Governors OpeningsThe Board of Governors is currently seeking

volunteers to serve on the Board as Members at large. The BOG is made up of Members at large and Chairs of the Business and Community Committees. The BOG reviews rules and regulations, assists in developing the an-nual budget, discusses recommendations made by the various Committees and when a proposal is passed, it is sent to the Board of Trustees for consideration. The BOG is an integral part of the governing system that brings new ideas to the Club. Applicants are encouraged to bring their experience to enhance our ever-growing Community and its programs.

The Board of Governors meets eight times a year on a Saturday for about two hours. Members interested in serving on the Board of Governors can contact the Administrative Offi ce at (570) 646-9191 or fi ll out an application online at www.LakeNaomiClub.com located in the Online Sign-Up in the Members Section. Applications are due by June 30th.

Mountaintop Lodge PhotosIf you’ve been to the newly refurbished

Mountaintop Lodge you probably no-ticed the fantastic photos of years gone by at what was then Naomi Lake. Sail-ing, swimming as well as general beach and clubhouse use are all captured for us to look back at what used to be. A big thank you must be sent out to Mem-bers who have shared their photos over the years, local business All Angles for quality framing, Printing Craftsman for beautifully restored, timely photo print-ing and the Miller Family for the major-ity of the old photos and prints which are now beautifully displayed at the Lodge. Everyone is so appreciative for the op-portunity to see the narration of an area loved by so many. It’s truly special to preserve this his-tory and showcase the roots of this wonderful community. Thank you!

Summer Activities CalendarNew this year - - In an effort to save money on postage and printing it was decided to

not mail the 2012 Summer Activities Calendar. In addition Management was fi nding that many Members forgot to bring their calendars with them and picked up an addition-al calendar once they got here. The 2012 Summer Activities Calendar will be available for pickup by Saturday, May 26th at both the Administrative Offi ce and the Community Center. If you would like to start making your summer plans now a PDF fi le is online in the Members Sections of www.LakeNaomiClub.com under the Calendar Menu. If you would still like to receive a calendar in the mail either call the Administrative Offi ce at 570-646-9191 or send an email to [email protected]. Survey Results Available

Club Members clearly indicated how much Lake Naomi and Timber Trails means to them by responding to the Club’s request to invest 40 plus minutes in the future of the Club. Over fi fty-seven percent of Club Members completed and returned the Long Range Planning Survey. This far exceeds the national average. Thanks goes to all those Members who invested their time in the future of the Club.

Enclosed with this edition of Refl ections is a letter from the McMahon Group, the Club’s professional consulting fi rm hired to handle the survey, along with the Survey Executive Summary Report. The full report of the Comprehensive Membership Sur-vey has been posted in the Members only section of the Club’s website. A rather large document, the report includes a cover letter and fi ve categories: Executive Summary, Results/Analysis, Data Tables, Written Comments and Questionnaire.

If a Member would prefer to review a hard copy of the survey results, Members are welcome to check out one of four copies of the three-quarter inch spiral bound document at the Administrative Offi ce. Members are requested to return the copy for other Members to review once they have completed their review or within 20 days. Call ahead (570,646-9191) to make sure a copy is available for pick-up. In the event all available copies have been checked out, you will be placed on a waiting list and called as soon as a copy becomes available for review. The MTL Dynamic Duo

As the Mountaintop Lodge continues to move forward with the operation, the Club is still appreciating the teamwork and effort that went into bringing the Lodge to this point. There are two individu-als that the Club would like to recognize as the “Dynamic Duo” – that would be Margaret and John Hickey. Margaret worked on the Lodge from day one, and her husband John soon joined the team. There is not a corner in the Lodge that Margaret has not scraped, painted or cleaned at some point. There never was a task that was asked of her that she didn’t immediately jump into whole-heartedly. She continues to view the Lodge daily with a discerning eye and make suggestions for changes and improvements. As for John, while others purchased and planned for the decorations throughout the Lodge it was John’s skill, expertise and PATIENCE that got everything properly hung on the walls. No sled was too large and no antique was too delicate for John to showcase on the walls. The Club is happy to report that John has joined the Lake Naomi Team as a member of the Mainte-nance Department, and Margaret will continue with her many hats, including her role as Tennis Coordinator. Sincere thanks to both of them for all their hard work!

BYOB at LNCHWith more and more people be-

coming Wine Connoisseurs and Col-lectors; we understand that there are occasions when you would like to bring in that special bottle of wine that you’ve been saving to share with your guests, so the Club is now of-fering a BYOB program. Please let Clubhouse Management know if you are planning to Bring Your Own Bot-tle and we can address any concerns you may have. Members can either bring their wine into the Clubhouse a few days in advance or upon arriving for their dinner reservations and we will take care of the rest from storing, presentation and service. There will be a minimal corkage fee of $15 per bottle for this service.

Summer Entertainment at the ClubhouseSummer entertainment at the Clubhouse will begin Saturday, June 30th and will

continue through Labor Day Weekend. We have many new great performers lined up this Summer, including some of your favorites from past years along with some new ones you are sure to enjoy. On most Friday nights from 9:00 PM through Midnight solo performers and duos will be playing in the Bar area. For variety magnifi cent D.J.’s will also be featured. Saturday night entertainment consists of three to fi ve piece bands in the dining room for your dancing pleasure. New this year every other Wednesday in July and August there will be music on Club Beach. Join us on those Wednesdays to savor the warm summer nights at the Duster Bar with your favorite drink, good music and great friends. See the summer calendar for more information. The Dress Code at the Lake Naomi Clubhouse

In order to maintain the quality experience that the Members expect at the Lake Naomi Clubhouse, Club Members and Guests will wear dressy casual appropriate attire when dining at the Lake Naomi Clubhouse. While jackets are not required, they are welcomed at all times. In the Main Dining Room and the Tall Timbers Room Gentle-men and young men 16 and older must wear a collared shirt or a comparable dress shirt at all times. Beach attire, T-shirts, cut-offs, tank tops and hats are not permitted at any time. Jeans are discouraged (however not prohibited) on Saturday nights. For Sunday Breakfast Buffets dressy casual is recommended. Gentlemen and young men 16 and older must wear a collared shirt or a comparable dress shirt at all times. Beach attire, T-shirts, cut-offs, tank tops and hats are not permitted at any time. On the Outdoor Deck Beach attire, cut-offs, hats and jeans are permitted. However, entering the Club for special buffet events will not be permitted unless you are dressed in appropriate attire per the above description. The Clubhouse Committee acknowledges that some Members strongly prefer a more casual dress code. However, we still encourage dress that would be considered business, dressy casual or resort casual, and believe diners will be most com-fortable following those guidelines. The Club’s entrusting our Members to use good judg-ment concerning what is appropriate attire when coming to the Club to dine. Under-shirts, sleeveless t-shirts, printed tee-shirts, short shorts and bare midriff tops are unacceptable. Please inform guests of this policy before they arrive at the Clubhouse. In the event of questionable attire, the decision of the Clubhouse Management will be fi nal.

Strong Indoor Tennis SeasonThe 2011-2012 indoor tennis season at the

Logan Steele Community Center again proved to be the most active yet. This season continued with the monthly Mixed Doubles Round Robins which accommodate 16 tennis players while incorporating other social activities for non players as well as an optional dinner provided by the Café staff.

In addition we ran the third Men’s Doubles Winter Tournament and the fi rst Wom-en’s Doubles Tournament. Competitive play took place over the month of January with six Men’s teams playing a Round Robin format so each team played fi ve match-es. Teams for this tournament were selected at random, consisting of equally weighted player abilities. The Men’s results were an unbelievable three way tie where each team won four matches. A spring tie breaker will hopefully be in the works soon so until that time we congratulate teams Peter Veritas & Don Jones, Bob Deluca & Rick Bodenshotz and Marshall Butler & Mike Kummer.

Three Ladies teams played each other twice giving the ladies additional matches and an opportunity to replay the same players. As a result we saw some very com-petitive play and ultimately a win by team Michelle Bogre & Anita Scarperia.

We Want Your Pictures Now that the camera shooting season is about to get into high gear

remember the Membership/Marketing Committee would like to see more pictures of Club Members enjoying their favorite Lake Naomi-Timber Trails Amenity. Often Members have the best opportunity to get sensational shots during the events while the staff is busy supervising the activities and thus have limited time to take pictures. So carry your cameras with you and don’t miss that shot!

We are always looking for great pictures for Refl ections, Lake Naomi-Timber Trails Promotions, the Annual Calendar and the Club’s website. Throughout the next few months submit your photos to Laura Altemose, Communications Manager, at the Ad-ministrative Offi ce. After the 2013 calendar is developed, Members will have the op-portunity to vote for their four favorite calendar pictures. Each winner will be awarded 50 Club Dollars. We will be showing off some of the entries in future Refl ections and on the website. Pictures that are submitted become the property of Lake Naomi Club and may be used in future promotions. If you want your picture to be considered for the 2013 annual calendar, we’ll need the picture or digital fi le by September 15, 2012. Digital fi le size does make a difference when using a picture for print. Many pictures that were submitted last year were too small. For a picture to be a full calendar page the fi le size needs to be 3,000 x 2,200 pixels. It is important to submit the original fi le, do not downsize the picture, many editing programs ask to downsize the picture before sending. Also most of the smart phones do produce pictures large enough to be used but again remember to send the original fi le. You can upload your pictures in the Online Offi ce of the Members Section of www.LakeNaomiClub.com.

Attention Boat and Canoe Rack Users!! Boat and canoe/kayak racks at all locations are just about fi lled to capacity! Each

year the Administrative Offi ce hears from Members concerning boat and canoe/kayak racks that sit empty all season long at locations they have been told are full. If you have secured a boat or canoe/kayak rack for the 2012 season and fi nd that you won’t be using it, please contact the Administrative Offi ce to obtain a refund and make your rack available to another Member. We have Members waiting for racks at many of our beaches and marinas, so please be a good neighbor and relinquish your rack if you know you will not be using it. Please note if you want a full refund your request must be made by Saturday, June 23rd.

Water Aerobics UpdateIn order to prepare our Members for the season, we must announce long term water

aerobics instructor Jaime Nuss will not be instructing this year. As her summer months fi ll with other obligations she will remain in the area and possibly substitute teach from time to time, but will not be our primary instructor. Taking that role will be Karen Sue Miller who currently instructs numerous successful exercise classes at the Community Center and Kristen Loughran, LNC year round Aquatics Team Member will split the week each teaching two days. Jaime, Kristen and Karen Sue will work together pre-paring for the season to insure a smooth transition.

The Water Aerobics schedule for the Lake Naomi Pool is: Shallow Water (10:15-11:00AM) and Deep Water (11:15AM to Noon) Monday through Thursdays, June 25th – August 16th. Neither requires registration prior to the day of class, but Deep Water is only for 14 Members so feel free to come early each day to insure your deep water place. Please contact Meredith Sensenig at [email protected] with any questions or suggestions you may have regarding water aerobics.Youth Sports Time Returns!

Although a general pool rule is balls are not permitted, that is not the case during Youth Sports Time. This is the time to play in and around the pool with the help of the lifeguards and Pool Supervisors. Wa-ter basketball, volleyball and other fun games are being planned for good times for our young Members on Fridays this summer.

Tennis Dress Code After the 2011 trial change in ten-

nis dress code the Tennis Committee voted to NOT allow collarless shirts for men and boys.

Adult and Junior players are remind-ed to adhere to the Tennis Dress Code outlined in the 2012 Leisure Service Guide for the Lake Naomi and Timber Trails Tennis facilities:

Attire is to be approved Tennis ap-parel and footwear only, as deter-mined by the Lake Naomi Club. Only sneakers with smooth soles that will not cause damage to the court surface may be worn. Shirts with collars (for men and boys) are a requirement in or-der to play Tennis at the Lake Naomi or Timber Trails Complexes. Sweat-ers and sweatshirts without collars and without distracting patterns are permitted. In protecting the integrity of the game, ABSOLUTELY NONE of the following will be permitted: cut-offs, jeans, cargo shorts, boxer shorts, tops exposing the bare midriff, T-shirts or non athletic shorts or pants. In the event of questionable attire, the deci-sion of the Management will be fi nal.

Please make note of this policy to avoid any challenges with honoring your court time.

Proper attire may be purchased at the Lake Naomi Tennis Pro Shop begin-ning Memorial Day Weekend. If you have questions regarding this policy, please call the Tennis Pro Shop at 570-646-7580.

Pre-Season Tennis The Lake Naomi Tennis Center opened May

5th for pre-season play. Because the Pro Shop and courts are only open on weekends from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, we often get questions about how Members can utilize the courts during the times the Pro Shop is not open. Prior to the main summer season, which begins Saturday, June 23rd, some of the Lake Naomi Tennis Center courts will be made available for Members to use on a walk on basis. Members may refer to the posting located on the Pro Shop door to fi nd out which courts are available for play. During these times of “walk-on play”, the Pro Shop and additional staff services will not be available, with the exception of rest-rooms which are open anytime the courts are. Members using the courts must record their use in the sign-in binder provided at the Pro Shop door. Guests must also be signed in each time they play. Members must also follow all dress code and court eti-quette guidelines listed in the Leisure Service Guide. Members using the courts must be Tennis Members and are reminded that current membership badges are required. Eligible Guests are welcome to play, but Members are asked to abide by the Guest us-age policy which states Guests are limited to ten visits at the facility each season.

Recreation Tennis CourtsThe two hard surface courts located

by North Beach are open daily for use for the season. Reservation sheets will be hung daily for Members to sign-up for court times beginning Memorial Day Weekend. One hour of court time per Membership is per-mitted per day. All Recreation Court guidelines enforced throughout the main summer season will also be in place for this early season play. The advanced reservation process begins the fi rst day of the main summer sea-son, Saturday, June 23rd.

Ladies Sailing SessionsWe would like to remind ladies interested in sailing

that the Lake Naomi Club Sailing Association has many volunteers willing to help get you started. We know the ladies schedules are way too busy for an event for this purpose so instead the offer stands… simply call the Sailing Offi ce at 570-646-LAKE in the main summer season to express your interest and we’ll connect you with a volunteer. Ladies of all abilities (even those with no previous sail-ing skills) can be accommodated. Technique and boat handling will be discussed both on and off the water. You do not need a boat to register, as the Club rental program offers them. The only requirements are you must be at least 16 years of age and be able to swim. If you have a desire to learn how to sail the Club will make it happen for you! If you have questions preseason please contact Meredith Sensenig at the Community Center at 570-646-8585 or email [email protected].

Important Sailing Race Reminders

The Lake Naomi Club Sailing As-sociation requires all sailboats par-ticipating in any of the sailing races or regattas to have a number posted on their sail and to check in with the Race Committee prior to racing to indicate your intention to race. When doing so simply sail to the downwind side of the Tiki and hail your information to the Race Committee. You must tell them your full name and boat number and that you’re registering to race. This is the norm for sailboat racing as it is the only way for the Race Committee to adequately track all participants in-volved. It is also customary to inform the Race Committee if you’re leaving the racing before the fi nal fi nish.

If you do not already have your sail numbered and wish to participate in the sailing races, please stop by the Sailing Offi ce located at Club Beach to be assigned an available number and obtain the actual numbers for your sail. While you’re there, feel free to ask the Sailing Staff for pointers on how to properly affi x the sailing numbers to your sail if you do not have experience in doing so. The Sailing Offi ce is open weekends Memorial Weekend through June 17th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and then seven days a week beginning June 23rd. The Members who volun-teer for Race Committee appreciate your cooperation.

2012 Sailing StaffThe Club is pleased to announce

your 2012 Sailing Staff. Chris Grasso returns for his third year in the Head Sailing Instructor position. He will be assisted by TJ McCann and fellow instructors Andrew Rohan, Camielle Campion, Matt Trabold, Tyler Mc-Cann and Jack Hoover. The Sailing Staff is already planning on writing a new 2012 curriculum and are all look-ing forward to joining you on the wa-ter very soon. RC Laser Fleet Summer Races

The Lake Naomi Club Sailing Association’s RC Laser Fleet #9 will be offering scored races throughout the summer and a Summer Regatta on August 11th, the weekend of the Junior Regatta. The RC Lasers are patterned after the original Laser: Simple, easy to sail and fast! The wind powered radio controlled hull is a quarter scale model of the original. It uses a two lever remote control to operate the main sheet and tiller. This boat comes right out of the bag and onto the water. With summer coming the RC fl eet has listed all their sail dates in the summer calendar. As always your fellow sailors in-vite you to come join those who already have their boat and try it out yourself. For more information contact Fleet Captain Bob MacNeill at 727-385-8100. Tennis Talk by Bobby McKee

As we move closer to the summer season, everyone is encouraged to visit www.lakenaomitennis.com to view and learn about all the McKee Tennis of-ferings this season. Highlights and other news.

Junior Team Tennis – new for the 2012 season• We are modeling this after the professional World Team Tennis League• Juniors 6 to 17 are encouraged to register and play • We will create teams and place players according to ability, so everyone will be playing against others of similar(not exact) abilities• Matches will be every Friday from 3:30-5 PM beginning July 6th through August 3rd, with a season ending “Dinner on The Deck” included in the registration.• $30 registration fee and the sign up period ends July 3rd

• If you can’t commit to three or more weeks, you can register as a substitute• We encourage ALL juniors to play, even if you have never competed before. 10 & under players will use the modifi ed court size and modifi ed tennis balls.

Weekend Mini Camps - Richard and I will be conducting numerous early season Weekend Mini Camps for Juniors and Adults. A few to highlight are the Weekend 5 & Under Mini Camp II June 30th – July 1st, 1:30-2 PM each day, the Weekend 10 & Under (6 to 10 years of age) Mini Camp II June 30th – July 1st, 2-3 PM each day, and the 11+ Mini Camp June 30th – July 1st, 3-4:30 PM each day.The unique aspect of these mini-camps is that we are inviting the juniors and adults to participate, with the adults at no charge. As we help the juniors, it is our goal to offer tips to the parents (or Aunt, Uncle, Grandparent) on ways to hit with your child, and ways you can make your time on the court with your child more enjoyable. We believe that positive experiences early in a player’s development will keep them engaged in this great sport of tennis.

McKee Tennis will be adding a collection of apparel to the tennis shop at the LN Ten-nis Center from Loriet. I’m very impressed with the quality and comfort of the clothing, and I wanted to bring it to the Lake Naomi Club Membership.

Contact me with any questions, comments and/or suggestions about our program via email at [email protected] or by cell phone 828, 514-1808.

Looking forward to a great season!Fireworks

Due to the tremendous danger involved, any and all types of fi reworks have been banned from the Lake Naomi-Timber Trails Community. Please be aware that the posses-sion of most fi reworks in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is illegal and violators are subject to stiff penalties. There are normally several large approved fi rework displays in the Pocono Region each year and we’ll give you details and locations in the weekly fl yers.

Lake Naomi - Timber Trails Breast Cancer Rally

Hello to our wonderful friends and supporters. We are just weeks away from our Summer Season and a few short months away from our Rally on July 25th for tennis and July 26th for golf. We continue to thank everyone for last year’s success and look forward to another year of great participation and enthusiasm.

Also, a reminder, we are looking for people as well as advertisers to sponsor holes and courts. In addition, we are al-ways in need of helpers...people to solicit or “beg” as we fondly call it, and others to simply help in the operation area.

Thanking you in advance for thinking of us. We want to help those women who are fi ghting the ravages of Breast Cancer. Your participation will be greatly appreciated...and here’s to mak-ing 2012 even better than last year!

Looking forward to a great event again,Marjorie Seger [email protected] Chimerine [email protected] Lehrer [email protected]

Golf NotesThe Timber Trails Golf Course is now open and

is in impeccable shape. There are many fun leagues and tournaments for all skill levels of play enjoy.

The Bloody Mary Tournaments are some of the most popular on the schedule. This year like other years, there will be four Bloody Mary tournaments. The fi rst one will be held on Sunday, June 3rd. Registration will begin on Monday, May 14th. Participa-tion in 2011 Bloody Mary tournaments doesn’t prevent anyone from signing up on this date. All golf members are welcome to play. Please keep in mind since these are very popular Member events no guests are permitted to play. The second Bloody Mary Tournament is Sunday, July 15th. All players who played in the June Bloody Mary Tournament must wait 10 days prior to the event before signing up. This postpone-ment of sign up gives other golf members an opportunity to play.

The Memorial Day Tournament will be held on Sunday, May 27th. This is a handicap net event in which all players must have a Timber Trails USGA handicap.

The always fun Putting Tournament, which will be held on the expanded putting green, is Sunday, May 27th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There will be Men’s, Women’s and Junior divisions in this Putting Tournament. Come out and see who the best putter of the Club is.

The Timber Trails Memorial Tournament is Saturday, June 16th starting at 8:30 AM. This fun two person mixed event has produced some scintillating fi nishes in previous years.

The Couples Shootout will be on Sunday, June 24th at 3:00 PM. Saturday July 7th is the date for the Parent Grandparent Child Tournament. This is a

3:00 PM shotgun start with a barbeque luncheon offered at 1:30 PM. This multi gen-eration tournament is traditionally one of the most popular events.

Many fun and instructional clinics for all skill levels to enjoy will be offered. The Ladies Clinics start Tuesday, June 5th at 9:00 AM. This clinic will discuss the course, strategies and course management. The June 12th clinic topics are putting and how to make consistent rhythmic strokes. On June 19th learn about chipping and how to use the correct club around the greens. The June 26th clinic will be about the irons and hybrids and how to swing the club to make solid contact. On July 3rd the topic is the driver where you will learn how to hit it farther and hit more fairways.

The popular Adult Golf Clinic will get underway Wednesday, June 13th at 3:00 PM. This clinic is one hour in length and will cover important fundamentals and swing mechanics. All members are welcome to participate.

The annual Junior Clinic will begin on Thursday, July 5th. All Lake Naomi-Timber Trails youngsters are welcome to attend. There are limited spots available so sign up early.

This year tournaments fees will include the greens fees. So each tournament will have two fees either one for golf members with gold membership or one for golf members with silver membership. If you are a silver golf member the greens fees will be added to the entry fee.

New Season, New Changes at Timber Trails Golf Course

Unexpected early spring weather on the heels of an extremely mild winter meant good things for our golf course. Todd Moyer and his Golf Maintenance Team worked hard to open the course on a record setting early date. The course is in great condition and ready to play. There have been a few changes this year that we ask that you keep in mind. New this year all golf event pric-es include your green fees. No more waiting to pay greens fees the morning of your event, just check in and you are good to go.

Also new this summer, we have moved the maintenance morning to Wednesdays. Maintenance used to be done on Tuesday during the summer season and Wednesday in the fall but to simplify, maintenance will be done on Wednesdays for the entire golf season. Every Wednesday during the summer the course will be closed until noon for maintenance and chemical application and all day Wednesdays in the Fall.

We hope these few small changes improve Member’s satisfaction with TTGC. Please remember to always use proper golf etiquette to enhance the ex-perience and condition of our course for all Members.

Boating Safety RemindersThe Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission frequently patrols Lake Naomi as well

as the other lakes and ponds in Lake Naomi – Timber Trails and is authorized to enforce state boating regulations. They are also able to levy fi nes for violations of Pennsylvania Boating Regulations. A few suggestions for Lake Naomi Club boaters to ensure compli-ance with the state regulations are as follows:

1. Be sure that your watercraft contains at least one wearable fl oatation device for each person on board. Seat cushions are not considered wearable.

2. Each boat must have a mechanical device to be used as a sound signal such as a whistle or horn.

3. All rowboats and fi shing boats must have a “Capacity Plate” displayed. The capacity plate must list the number of people plus weight and hull I.D. number. No boat is permit-ted to be loaded beyond its safe carrying capacity.

4. Boats with electric motors must be registered with the state.

Lake Naomi Club Q & ALake Naomi Club Q & AMembership Referral Program

Over the years a variety of Referral Programs have been the best source of new property owners and thus new Club Members.

The Club is pleased that the fi ve Real Estate Agencies that specialize in the sale of real estate in the Lake Naomi and Timber Trails Community – Century 21 Select Group, Keller Williams Real Estate, Lake Naomi Real Estate, MountainLife Real Estate and Reality Professionals – have all agreed to participate in the “Member-Share” Referral Program. Participation in this program is very easy. First, think of the people you know who enjoy the same high quality leisure lifestyle – your friends, family or colleagues at work. Then, choose the most convenient way for you to in-troduce them to the Lake Naomi Club. Simply fi ll out the Referral Registration form online at www.LakeNaomiClub.com or utilize a Referral Registration Card or call the Administrative Offi ce at 570, 646-9191. We will be happy to send your referral a membership packet which includes the Lake Naomi Club DVD, LNC brochure, sum-mer activities calendar and a LNC Calendar.

When a Member’s Referral purchases property in Lake Naomi or Timber Trails and JOINS THE CLUB, the Member will receive fi ve hundred Club Dollars. These Club Dollars can be utilized toward Membership Fees or can be transferred to a stored value card which can be used at most of the amenities. A great feature of the “Mem-berShare” Referral Program is that the Referring Member has the option of transfer-ring all or part of the Club Dollars to the New Member.

If you need assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Admin-istrative Offi ce. Support your Club and Community, be sure to refer a Prospective Member today.

Remember the Membershare Referral program was expanded to include Temporary Members. When your referral purchases their Temporary Membership, you will be rewarded 25 Club Dollars for each week your referral purchases their Temporary Membership with a maximum of 100 Club Dollars per referral. Are the pop-up shade tents permitted on the beaches?

Personal umbrellas which attach to a beach chair are preferred on beaches rather than large beach umbrellas which often become safety hazards in breezy condi-tions. Those wishing to use small scale shade apparatuses must fi rst seek approval of the lifeguard who has the authority to refuse use according to daily weather conditions and attendance. Any approved shade structures must be set to the perimeters to avoid both visual and safety obstructions.

My neighbor is not a Member of the Club. Can I take my neighbor to the Clubhouse for dinner as my guest?

No, Club Guidelines are very clear on this matter. Lake Naomi – Timber Trails Property Owners who choose not to join the Club are not permitted to be guests at any Club Facility or Program.

How can I ensure that I get all emer-gency notices/updates by email? I have signed up for group emails but this category was not listed.

When an emergency notice or update is sent out to the Members it is sent to everyone that has an email address listed with the website. There is no need to sign up for emergency notices/updates, however it is important to main-tain a current email address with the website.

Take the Time to Review the Leisure Service Guide“Hello Mr. Lake, thank you for dining with us tonight! Could you please change

into a collared shirt?”“Good afternoon Mrs. Naomi, we hope you’re enjoying the weather. Could you

skip this hole and pick up the pace a little?”“Good morning Mr. Timber, we have your court reservation all set, but hasn’t

your guest visited us more than ten times this year?”Yuck. These sorts of exchanges happen every day and are sometimes followed

by a less than pleasant discourse. This would be a great time to review the Guide-lines set by the Club in your 2012 Leisure Service Guide.

With so much of our training efforts focused on courtesy, friendliness, service and sincere hospitality, enforcing the Club’s Guidelines by our Team Members is, by far, the most awkward and diffi cult aspect of the business. Why is this? It’s sim-ple. The Club doesn’t recruit enforcers. We recruit those who can deliver a won-derful service-oriented experience with a pleasant demeanor. Striving for service excellence, while asking the same people to police our Members and their guest’s behavior, is counterintuitive and causes confusion with the Team Members, going against the grain of what our Management Team emphasizes and communicates.

Are guidelines at a private club important? Yes. Without them everyone is un-happy; with them 5% are unhappy. Rules are not made to satisfy everyone, but the majority, as they address issues for the masses. To help our Team Members provide a better experience for you and your guests, take a moment and familiarize yourself with the Club’s guidelines in your 2012 Leisure Service Guide. Also, if one of our Team Members fi nds themselves in the diffi cult position of explaining a guideline to you, please be patient and understand just how incredibly awkward this is for the person on the other side of the counter. If you have any questions regarding reasoning or logic behind a rule, please don’t hesitate to contact Robert Jones via email at [email protected] or by phone at 570, 646-9191 ext. 112 or any of the Management Team Members.
