4. Where can the application form for an EU work permit be obtained and whocan answer my questions?

Before the date on which you intend to start work, please send your application docu-

ments to the work permit team of the International Placement Services of the Federal

Employment Agency responsible for making the decision regarding your EU work permit.

Responsibility lies with the work permit team that is in charge of the area in which your

employer is domiciled. An overview is provided in the Annex of this Information Sheet.

Please bear in mind that a large number of applications are filed and the examination ofthe application documents and the conditions of admission may take some time.

Please submit in good time the documents necessary for a decision, i.e. at least 4

weeks before the intended start of work. You should also ensure that the documents are

complete to avoid questions and processing delays.
