Griffiths Racing Stable has been my life and passion for 20 years. ! Prior to this I was busy establishing myself as a Jockey beforeweight issues forced an early retirement.! I knew long before I had any visions of being a successful Jockey that my real love andpurpose was going to be that of horse trainer.! I had a genuine desire to succeed and set about to achieve success at the very top level. !This long and sometime arduous journey has seen me finish in the top 10 Victorian Trainers Premiership for several years running. ! Icould not have achieved this success without the support and encouragement of family, friends and clients who have continued to backmy pursuit of training success for many years. !I was fortunate to be born into the Thoroughbred industry and destined to be involved in some way or another. ! I completed a successfulapprenticeship as a jockey riding in excess of 250 winners both on metropolitan and provincial racetracks and included riding for thelikes of the Late Colin Hayes, Bart Cummings, Lee Freedman and other leading trainers of that time.! It was as a result of this that I wasable to outride my apprentice claim in my first 2 years of riding. !My transition to Training commenced soon after I became stable foreman for Caulfield Trainer Tony Vasil. ! I spent the next 12 months inthis role before spending time overseas where I was able to observe leading European trainers training techniques. !I obtained my trainers license in 1991. I believe I have earned the reputation as an innovative and successful trainer by achievingsuccess in Group and Listed races.! I have also taken great pride in not only establishing myself on the metropolitan ranks but havecontinued to support South Gippsland Tracks.! It was these tracks that saw me develop my career and develop the careers of many ofmy early runners.! I have been awarded South Gippsland Trainer of the year on 4 occasions.! Metropolitan success was achieved withthe likes of Dandy Kid, (who holds the Moonee Valley record for most flat wins at that racecourse), Confederate Kid, Beltrois, Its Prince,

Count To Zero, not to mention the Group 1 placed Cocinero, Solar Antiquity & Cancanelle. Recent times have see the likes ofDanzylum, Avionics, Mr Riggs, Dash to Viz and others represent the stable in the winners circle. ! I have also won leading Super Vobistrainer of the year for consecutive years. ! This is a fantastic scheme and offers owners unbelievable opportunities regarding prizemoney incentives. !

My biggest thrill in racing as a trainer was winning the Group 2 Saab Qualitywith Big Pat on Derby Day then saddling him 3 days later to finish 10th in theEmirates Melbourne Cup. ! Other exciting moments have included winningdoubles on two occasions on Feature race days such as Oaks Day and beinga successful competitor in the majority of Spring Racing Carnivals. !I am a perfectionist by nature with a genuine love of horses.! I take great pridein watching young horses develop into strong competitive racehorses. ! I getgreat personal gratification from participating in their development and believein leaving no stone unturned to get the best out of each and every horse. !I have concentrated solely on purchasing quality young horses for my stable.! Iam a firm believer that by having the confidence,! resources and the right teamof people behind me that I can achieve great success and win that Group 1Race that has been alluding me.! I am hungry for success and believe I have

the right determination to ensure great results in the next 12 months and beyond. !I believe this crop of yearlings to be outstanding individuals.! A lot of time and effort has gone into researching each and every one ofthem both on type, pedigree and stature. !My Strategy this year was to focus on the announcement of Vobis Gold. Ive also been more specific in my selectionprocess purchasing more mature yearlings, who although were a little more expensive than previous years, they are morelikely to race as 2 year olds, therefore taking full advantage of the Vobis Gold Scheme that is structured around the 2 and 3year old racing programme. This filly has a great international winningpedigree with plenty of Black Type and

includes the names of Nureyev, Danzig,Mister Prospector and she contains the 4x4cross to the great Northern Dancer. Herdam the French bred Rossiya racedsuccessfully in the UK, winning at SandownPark.

This filly is a real bargain, she is very athletic,light on her feet, with a relaxed walk and a
