Working off its successful predecessor, the up-dated Pure delivers effortless performance and stability. Pro-Tip Rocker geometry, combined with the Venturi Tail, offer exceptional control and float in deep snow conditions.

Dual raDiusSCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. This Dual Radius creates a more versatile ski, which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain. The bigger front radius provides great stability and forgiveness in all types of snow conditions.

The Fly’Air is the first ski to be part of SCOTT’s lightweight fre-eride mountaineering ski range. Its superlight Paulownia wood core guarantees it to be light, easy to turn and responsive.

The Xplor’Air combines a wood core with air-channel construc-tion to minimize weight and improve performance without compromising quality. A carbon fibre top sheet reduces overall weight and offers performance and control when descending.

The Crus’ Air is for those looking to avoid the crowds. With 90-92mm under the binding and rocker tip, it can handle most snow conditions and terrain.

The Powd’Air ski uses the same construction as its little broth-ers the Xplor’Air and the Crus’Air. The specially designed carbon frame offers the performance of a 100mm without the excess weight, making the climb a little easier and allowing you to save your energy for the fun part: going down!

r.a.s. - removaBle airBag systemThe airbag concept is based on the physi-cal principle of inverse segregation. A phe-nomenon whereby, given a uniformly mov-ing mass of particles, the smaller particles sink downwards and the larger ones float to the surface. The inflated airbag increases the victim’s volume and greatly amplifies this inverse segregation effect. In the event of an avalanche, the user must tug on the handle to trigger the release of gas from the high-pressure cartridge: this inflates the 150-litre avalanche airbag within 3 seconds. The avalanche backpack helps prevent total burial in the snow. And its bright colour aids rapid localisation.
