BEE Athletic Boosters MeetingAugust 4, 2014Attendees: Beth O’Donnell, Dave Frederick, Jennifer Starinsky, Ron Ring, Cindy Ring, Dave Best, John Graham, Karen Graham, Dan Kalinsky, Mary Grace Dimitrijevs, Sue Sivic, JoAnn Farwell, Chip Bell, Linda Carney, Debbie Burkhart, Catherine Wurts, Terri Speck, Tim Frajter, Baljeet Khosa Seibert, Janice Morgan.The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President, Beth O’Donnell.President, Beth O’Donnell: Introduction of new officers. Everyone introduced themselves and said what sports their children play. First Vice President, Ron Ring:March Madness fundraiser, on March 21, will replace the annual Tailgate. Second Vice President, Chip Bell: Nothing to reportSecretary, Mary Grace Dimitrijevs:Nothing to report.Jen Starinsky made a motion to approve the June Regular minutes. Ron Ring seconded the motion. Dave Frederick made a motion to approve the June meeting.

Executive minutes. Ron Ring seconded the motion. A voice vote was held. to everyone on team. The motion carried.Treasurer, Jen Starinsky transitioning to JoAnn Farwell:The Treasurer’s report was presented. Very little activity since last meeting. Scoreboard advertising is sold out. We have about $10,000 in equity. $6,000 was paid from permanent improvement fund.$4,000 was deposited to fund from donations in the name of Mr. Kalinsky (Dan’s father).$25,000 deposit was paid to acoustic people for gymnasium sound system. The final payment is due after project is complete at the end of Sept.Jennifer is meeting with accountant to have books reviewed for tax purposes.Dave Frederick made a motion to approve the financial statements. Dave Best seconded the motion. A voice vote was held. The motion carried. Membership, Julie Seballos: (Not Present)14 Platinum memberships have been sold so far.Paypal is working great. If you don’t get your membership card just bring your paypal receipt to get into a game.Golf outing is advertised on back of membership cards.Boosters will have a membership table at first home football game, Sept. 12.Team Reps need to send out membership forms Team Reports, Jennifer Starinsky:Every team has a representative, except Honey Bees and Girls Basketball.Reusable banners are available for golf outing, homecoming, and senior night.Send team reports to Jennifer and she will report at each booster meeting.

High School Athletic Director, Dan Kalinsky: Maintenance has been going on during summer months.Tennis courts have been repaired (cracks filled).Press box has been painted and steps repaired.Storage building has been fixed up.Concession building has been painted and counters repaired.Asphalt will go in front of band bleachers in August. This project is a 14,000 joint effort with the boosters paying 5,000, the school paying 7,000, and the band paying 2,000. Sound panels for gym are being installed in August.Sturdy, metal picnic tables will be located by concession building in the name of Mr. Kalinsky.Ropes have been fixed.Officers will receive booster passes.Meet the Bees was yesterday, Aug. 3.Allocation Requests:Dan Kalinsky said the turf replacement will happen next summer. Request for boosters to help fund will be coming.Dan Kalinsky requested $2,000 from score board advertising to be put towards painting the scoreboard. The athletic department will also contribute $2,000. Project will be completed before the first game.Old Business:Golf Outing updates by Dave Best. The event will be Friday, Sept. 5, at Sleepy Hollow.Boosters are saving approximately 1,000 with Marc’s donating lunch, fruit, water, and barbeque dinner at the event.Tim Lally will be 1st hole sponsor.

We are still in need of door prizes for golf outing.Mary Grace Dimitrijevs will take photos on the golf course.Jen Starinsky said “Beat the Bears” t-shirts are for sale. $5 of each sale goes to the athletic department. New Business:NoneTHE NEXT MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, AT 7:00 IN THE MEDIA CENTER.The meeting was adjourned at 8:20p.m.

BEE Athletic Boosters Executive MeetingAugust 4, 2014 Attendees: Beth O’Donnell, Jennifer Starinsky, Dan Kalinsky, JoAnn Farwell, Ron Ring, Janice Morgan, Chip Bell, Mary Grace DimitrijevsThe meeting was called to order at 8:25 by President, Beth O’Donnell.Items discussed:Allocation requests: Beth O’Donnell made a motion to allocate $1500 for painting the score board. Ron Ring seconded the motion. A voice vote was held. The motion carried.  Boosters will be busy selling 50/50 raffle tickets at all home football games. (4-6 members needed each game) Selling will occur from 6:00 until halftime. Money goes to ticket booth. After money is counted, half goes to press box to present to winner. The other half of money should be turned in to Linda Carney or Janice Morgan for boosters account.THE NEXT MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, AT 7:00 IN THE MEDIA CENTER.The meeting was adjourned at 8:47P.M.
