At the Y, we believe time well spent in a fun, safe and supportive environment before and after school is a primary building block for quality of life and future success of children. Children feel connected at the Y where they can make friends and learn how to be their best with the Y’s values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We promote positive self-esteem, life skills, teamwork, leadership, creativity and educational support. The Y’s Before and After School Program is centered upon activities and opportunities that focus on eight core components: 1. Literacy 2. Character development 3. Health, wellness and fitness 4. Service learning 5. Arts and humanities 6. Science, math and technology 7. Social competence and conflict resolution 8. Homework support The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region recognizes that exceptional, caring adults are essential to the healthy development of children. Our staff exceeds state licensing requirements for experience and training. All staff are required to pass a state and national background check before hired and references are extensively checked. Additionally, all staff are First Aid/CPR certified, making YMCA school-age programs the standard in safety and quality. ppymca.org

Before & After School ProgramSchool Age Child Care, Ages 5-12

HOURSThe Before School Program opens at 6:00am or 6:30am, depending on the school site, and is provided until the school day begins. The After School Program begins at school dismissal and ends at 6:00pm.

SCHOOL OUT AND SNOW DAYSOur School Out and Snow Day program is offered at designated YMCA Centers, depending upon school locations and/or weather conditions. Weather permitting, care is offered during Snow Days and Snow Delays, using a modified schedule.

GETTING REGISTEREDRegistration paperwork must be received prior to a child’s first day in the program. Forms may be picked up at any local Y, Before & After School Program site, or downloaded from our website. Payments must be made prior to a child’s first day in the program.

Payments are made on a monthly basis.

Winter Break and Spring Break care is available for an additional fee.

REGISTRATION INFORMATIONAn annual registration fee of $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child for members and non-members must be paid at time of enrollment. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

FEE INFORMATIONMember rates are provided upon verification of membership status. Membership must remain current in order to receive the member rate for child care. Refunds will not be given for unused days.

For your convenience program rates are calculated and spread over the school calendar. See payment schedule for your site.• Fees are based on schedule not attendance.• Payments are due by the first of the month.• Payments are accepted via Automatic Bank Draft or Credit Card Draft.• Payments will not be accepted on site.• All changes must be submitted in writing to the YMCA no later than the 26th of any given month.

Financial Assistance is available through the Y Assist Program.The Y is an Authorized CCCAP provider at some locations.
