Quality Control

E&O Laboratories Ltd sub-contracts all routine quality control testing of its manufactured product

lines to its sister company E&O Diagnostics Ltd. The facility is located on site and is accredited

by UKAS to: ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

Quantifiable, representative batch samples are collected during the manufacturing process in

accordance with statistical sampling plans which are compliant with BS6001-1:1999

ISO 2859-11999. These samples are delivered with sample submission documentation for quality

control testing in accordance with:

ISO/TS 11133 - 1:2009 and ISO/TS 11133 - 2:2003

Guidelines on preparation and production of culture media.

Quality Assurance

E&O Laboratories Ltd is a registered Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA)

supplier of prepared culture media and microbiology products. Clinical products are CE marked

in accordance with Directive 98/79/EC of the European Parliament. Quality Management

Systems are managed by the group Quality Assurance department and are structured to meet

the requirements of both EN ISO 9001: 2008 "Quality Management System Requirements" and

EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 " General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration

laboratories", as well as the relevant requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as

defined in the MHRA Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Distributors

(Orange Guide) 2007.

Delivery

E&O currently deliver ready to use media, supplements, blood products and serum throughout

Europe and the Middle East.

We offer our local customers a personal "same day service" in our own dedicated vans within the

central belt of Scotland. We also deliver four days a week in our own vans as far as the M62

corridor from Liverpool through to Leeds.

All other UK locations are serviced on a standard "next day" service, using carefully selected

commercial courier companies. "Timed" deliveries can be booked to suit emergency requirements

as well as Saturday morning deliveries.

Export consignments will be air freighted or transported by road haulage depending on product

sensitivity/type and country location. Full product certification is supplied with each order. We

have extensive experience delivering world wide and try to keep your prices to the minimum.

All consignments are packed in secure, insulated (cool packed if required) strong well designed

cardboard boxes (ambient temperature) to ensure products are not damaged during

transportation. E&O's quality assurance department have validated (temperature data logged)

information ensuring no degradation of product occurs during the transportation period.
