GENERAL RULES &

REGULATIONS

1. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo will be held the second week in June.

2. All property and exhibits entered for display, competition for sale, or any purpose shall be subject to the rules of the Crosby Fair and Rodeo and therefore be under the control of the Board of Directors or a committee appointed for that purpose.

3. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo, Board of Directors, has the right to stop, close, or remove any exhibit, animal, stand, show or concession that they may deem objectionable, falsely entered or otherwise considered unsuitable, without assigning a reason thereof.

4. All moneys and fees due and payable to the Crosby Fair and Rodeo shall be payable in advance of 8:00 a.m. the first day of the show. Amusements, concessions or exhibits that are allowed on a commission basis are exempt from this rule.

5. Any expense or attention required from the transporting of any exhibit or display either to or from this fair must be borne by the exhibitor.

6. The violation of any of the rules of this Fair will be considered an automatic forfeiture of all privileges, premiums or prize money.

7. These General Rules will apply to all divisions for the normal governing of this Fair, unless otherwise stated in division rules. In these instances, the Division Rules will apply, but only to the division in which they appear.

8. Protests concerning the awarding of premium, or unqualified exhibitors or exhibits, false entries, falsification of entry blanks or records will not be accepted more than three days after closing day of the Fair. These protests must be in writing, signed, and a $100 non-refundable fee paid.

9. Any protest received will be processed at the first meeting after the Annual Fair. At this time, the signer of the protest must present sustaining evidence.

10. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo, its officers, directors, committee members, shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury to any person, persons, or any company or for any property losses or injuries sustained by anyone from any incident or accident on the Crosby Fairgrounds.

11. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo, Inc. reserves the right to interpret all rules, regulations, and settle all matters, questions and disputes arising out of or in regard thereto and also may amend or add to these rules

as they may determine.

12. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo, Inc. has the right to drug test any market animal for non-FDA approved substances or drugs. Only a licensed Veterinarian is allowed to administer treatments or drugs to market animals after arrival at show unless pre-approved by CFR Board of Directors with written Veterinarian approval. Positive test results for non-FDA approved substances will result in forfeiture of all

awards, monies, placing's, etc.

13. The Pet Show (if held) will be governed by

the Crosby Fair and Rodeo.

14. Only cash or money orders will be accepted for market entries, purchase of

poultry. No checks will be accepted.

15. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages may be

consumed in exhibitor areas.

16. No person may discuss the quality of any animals with the judge until the show is complete. Any infraction of this rule could

result in immediate disqualification.

17. Any market animal exhibitor in local, chapter, town, or other market show excluding Harris County fairs, state, or major shows are not eligible to compete in any market class at the Crosby Fair and Rodeo. Any exhibitor found breaking rule will forfeit winning and showing at Crosby

Fair & Rodeo.


JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW

1. Read General Rules. All entries in this

department will be subject to the General Rules and Regulations published in this Premium List, and in addition, the following Special Rules of this department.

2. All Market Exhibitors must be members as of JANUARY 20TH and be eligible to participate according to the guidelines established by the Crosby 4-H & Crosby FFA. Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D. Animal projects must be raised within the boundaries of the Crosby ISD during the established feeding periods. No market animals are allowed to be out of the feeding district for more than 3 consecutive days without prior approval from the Crosby Fair & Rodeo. Crosby Fair and Rodeo has the right any time from tag in to show date to visit and inspect all projects.

3. In all cases the right is reserved to reject or accept conditionally any application for entry. Any ineligible exhibitor attempting to show their projects will be disqualified and moneys or trophies will be withheld.

4. The showing of unethically fitted livestock is prohibited. Unethical fitting within the meaning of this rule will be deemed to consist of any method altering the natural confirmation of any part of the animal body, evidenced by presence of abnormal tissue or foreign substance. Only grooming adhesives will be allowed in grooming steer’s legs. Paints or color enhancers will be accepted as long as it DOES NOT alter the natural color pattern of the animal.

5. Validation/Entry forms must be turned in to the Livestock Chairman with all proper signatures, fees, social security number, and name of school attended on validation date. There will be a maximum 7 day grace period for exhibitors to protest membership in the 4-H and FFA to their organizational leaders. 6. All market steers, hogs, lambs, and goats must be in place by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013. All poultry must be in designated pen/show area by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013

7. All Market Rabbits must be in place by 3:30 P.M. on June 17, 2013.

8. Entries must be the bonafide property of the exhibitor. No partnership entries accepted except where both members of the partnership are eligible.

9. Exhibitors may only exhibit one of steer, hog, lamb, or goat. One alternate steer, pig, lamb, or goat per exhibitor may be tagged. Market animals will be designated at weigh in at the show. Immediate family alternates are acceptable. A $20 fee will be charged for tagging all alternate animals.

10. Exhibitor must furnish feed, feeding and watering equipment for his/her entry.

11. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning his/her stall, pen, or cage twice daily and dispose of refuse matter

12. All entries in the cattle division must be halter broken and manageable to show and sell by the exhibitor.

13. Only sand and shavings will be allowed as

bedding material. No carpet, cardboard, etc. 14. A Showmanship Award will be presented in

the beef, swine, lamb, and meat goat division with a Junior and Senior Class per division. Juniors, 13 and under and Seniors, 14 and older as of January 1st of the current year. Each exhibitor has to show his/her own animal. Substitute exhibitors are not eligible to compete for showmanship.

15. In the event there is only one entry in a class, ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judge.

16. No appeal will be considered from any judge's decision.

17. No payment for animals sold at Auction will be made to exhibitor until proof of delivery is presented to a 4‑H or FFA Leader or the Crosby Fair and Rodeo Association.

18. Exhibitors are not allowed on the grounds after 12:00 a.m. or before 6:00 a.m.

19. Show Management reserves the right to divide and/or combine classes based on the number of entries.

20. Entries from outside the Crosby 4-H and FFA

will be accepted as stall space permits.

21. Livestock must be shown by the owner or a

substitute must be approved by the

Livestock Committee. If the exhibitor is not

present at the time of judging, the animal is

subject to disqualification. Only exhibitors

will be allowed to show animals. No adults.

Any Crosby ISD student is eligible to assist/

hold in the broiler/turkey show.

22. No Market Poultry, Rabbits, and Livestock exhibits may be removed from the show or fairgrounds before 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning, with the exception of out of town School District entries, who will be released immediately following judging. All pens must be cleaned by exhibitors before release and removal or the exhibitor will not be allowed to show the following year. All entries must be removed by 4:00 p.m. Thursday or that animal will become the property of CF&R. Grand and Reserve Champions will remain on exhibit and will not be released until 8:00 a.m. Sunday Morning.

23. The removing or altering of identification tags or marks used by fair officials to distinguish between entries are prohibited.

24. 24. If a Junior Exhibitor is found in violation of any of the Livestock Show rules, He /She and his immediate family may be forever barred from exhibiting livestock at the Crosby Fair and Rodeo.

25. 25. Open Show entries are due by May 31, 2013. Late entries will be accepted with a $5.00 late charge. CASH ONLY (Local FFA and 4-H)

26. Only cash or money orders will be accepted for Market entries and purchase of poultry. No checks will be accepted.

27. For Sale signs may not be displayed until the completion of the Auction.

28. Fitting, Handling, Culling & Selecting, etc. of livestock may only be done by Crosby Market Animal exhibitors, IMMEDIATE family members of Crosby Market Animal exhibitors residing in their household (Divorced parents are eligible regardless of residence) and Crosby 4-H Leaders or AG Science Teachers after the arrival of the animal on the grounds including parking lots. Past Crosby Market Animal Exhibitors will be allowed to fit. No paid or professional fitters will be allowed.

29. Tack or equipment may be moved in from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

30. Once unloaded at the Crosby Fairgrounds no market animal may leave the exhibit or show area. They may not be loaded in trailers, taken to parking areas, or removed from the grounds.

31. All substitute exhibitor requests must be submitted in writing to Crosby Fair and Rodeo prior to the first day of the fair.

32. All entries will only be allowed one time

across the scales during the weigh in.


SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Five (5) $5,000 Crosby Fair and Rodeo Scholarships will be awarded to seniors who have attended Crosby High School for four years. Unlimited number of scholarships can be given at the discretion of Crosby Fair and Rodeo, if deemed necessary. The recipients should be registered at college, have a record of good character, attendance, and discipline. Recipients must have exhibited livestock, sewing/crafts, foods, or ag mechanic projects in the Crosby Fair for two years during their four years of high school. All applicants must compose a 250 word or less essay relaying how Crosby Fair and Rodeo has had an impact on their life. Recipients will be selected and all eligible applicants will be ranked by the Crosby High School Scholarship Committee. Terms: 1. Limited to students with the goal of obtaining a

BACHELOR degree from a 4yr institution. 2. $625 for each semester for four years. 3. First semester proof of registration. 4. Subsequent semesters proof of registration and

copy of past semester grades presented to Mr. Rick Larkin for approval.

5. Approval of the Fair Association Scholarship Committee can be used for summer school.

6. In the event that the student drops out or fails out of school, any unused portion of this award reverts back to the Fair Association.

7. In the event that a recipient changes degree plan from 4 year to a 2 year plan the proceeds will be stopped.

8. Recipients must maintain a minimum of 12 hrs. per semester, and a minimum GPA of 2.0. Failure to meet the guidelines will result in one semester probation.

9. Any scholarship winner who graduates in four years from a college or university with a degree and chooses to continue their education, upon notification to the Crosby Fair and Rodeo MAY be considered for future scholarship funds. In order to be considered you must present proof of a minimum GPA of 3.25 to the Crosby Fair and Rodeo scholarship committee. You will also be required to submit proof of registration to an accredited college or university graduate program.

10. Any special case not covered by these rules will be ruled on by the Board of Directors.


AUCTION SALE RULES

1. This sale is limited to projects owned, fed, and

cared for by members in good standing of the Crosby 4-H & FFA.

2. The sale may consist of 10 steers, 10 market hogs, 10 market lambs, 10 market goats, 10 pens of broilers, 10 turkeys, 10 pens of rabbits, overall individual grand champion ag mech, and overall grand champion horticulture. Lots may be adjusted up or down according to the number of entries.

3. All eligible entries must sell. 4. Sale commission will be 4% per sale lot to be

deducted from the sale amount. Added donations will be considered part of the sale lot and commissions will be withheld.

5. $20.00 per sale lot will be deducted for the buyer’s pictures.

6. Exhibitors with poultry and rabbits sold through the auction will be required to process their animals if the buyer wants them processed.

7. Poultry and rabbits making the sale must be delivered to the buyer within two weeks of the Fair. A signed release from the buyer must be presented to receive the sale check.

8. All exhibitors will be required to turn in a “Thank You Card” in a stamped enveloped addressed to the buyer with the exhibitors return address. Thank you cards are due in the Fair Office by the last week of June.

9. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of sale animals until delivery to the buyer or agent of the buyer.

10. Exhibitors of steers, hogs, lambs, and goats are responsible for the loading of their animal onto the correct processor’s trailer.

11. Exhibitors and their families may not pursue buyers concerning the donation or buy back of sale animals.

12. No animal per species may bring within $50.00 of the champion of that species.

13. Any special case not covered by these rules will be ruled on by the Board of Directors.

14. No market animals will be allowed to leave the fairgrounds or be loaded out until 8:00 a.m. Thursday. Custom processors will be loaded out from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with the remainder loaded from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

15. All market exhibitors will be paid for sale animals on or before the day of the Annual Crosby Fair & Rodeo Membership Feed.


AGRICULTURAL MECHANICS

PROJECT SHOW

ENTRIES DUE: April 13, 2013

There will be no refund of entry after the closing date. (Students must be present during the Judging to meet and discuss their project with the Judges.)

PURPOSE To provide an opportunity for 4-H and FFA members to display projects constructed -refurbished in Agricultural Mechanics Laboratories and: A. To promote the development of skills in

agriculture mechanics through competition.

B. To recognize individual and group accomplishments in the area of agricultural mechanics.

C. To provide an opportunity for the public to develop an appreciation of this important phase of 4-H and FFA youth programs.

RULES 1. All Agricultural Mechanics Projects are

subject to the Crosby Fair and Rodeo Association general rules and regulations.

2. An entry fee of $20.00 will be charged per project entered.

3. Entries in this division are limited to FFA and 4-H members residing in and/or attending school in specified school districts.

4. Projects exhibited must have been constructed, fabricated or rebuilt by FFA and 4-H members as a part of their agricultural mechanics instruction in Agricultural Science or as a part of their supervised work experience program.

5. A project can be exhibited only one time at the Crosby Fair and Rodeo and must be constructed fabricated or rebuilt within two calendar years of the exhibition date.

6. Each exhibitor may enter no more than

one (1) individually constructed project in market class; no individual exhibitor may enter more than two (2) projects – one in market and one in open. No more than two group projects can be entered and must be in open classes.

7. Each Ag-science class or group of students may enter no more than two (2) class or group constructed projects and may have no more than one (1) entry in any project class.

8. All projects must be clean, painted or treated and in a presentable condition even though they may have been used.

9. A working plan, blueprint or drawing along with photographs showing construction and bill of materials are required to be submitted with each project entered. Description of service performed before and after photos required for reconstructed or refurbished projects.

10. Projects may have been individually or group constructed, fabricated, or rebuilt and may be individually or chapter owned. Individual projects will be judged as a market class. All group projects will be judged as an open show.

11. Any project that does not fit into one of the stated classes will be disqualified by the committee.

12. All projects are to be identified with standard club exhibitor cards (supplied to Exhibitor's Club or Affiliate). Additional signs, banners, For Sale signs, etc. must be approved by the Committee Chairman.

13. Every precaution will be taken to protect the projects entered; however, neither the Crosby Fair and Rodeo Association nor officials of this Committee will be responsible for any losses or damage to projects.

Auction items will be displayed and bids taken on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. during the Livestock Show auction. The buyer may take the item at the close of the silent auction. It will be the responsibility of the participant to make sure all items are delivered to the buyer. You will be notified if your buyer does not pick there item up at the close of the auction.

11. Non-auction items: Items that the

participant chooses not to put in the silent auction will be on display during the silent auction. Items must be picked up on Thursday, June 20, 2013 between 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Items not picked up will become property of Crosby Fair & Rodeo.


FOOD SHOW

1. Any 4-H or FFA or Jr. FFA member in good

standing will be eligible to enter. 2. All entries must be paid on April 13, 2013

between 8:00 am - 10:00 a.m. at the fairgrounds.

3. Entry fee will be $5.00 per person/per entry. 4. Classes will be as follows:

cannot be refrigerated at the show. B. Preserved foods must be in standard-made

canning jars with standard lids. They must be labeled on the side of the jar with the content name and the date of canning, which must be within the current year.

C. Any entry which consists of individual servings (cookies, biscuits, muffins, candy, tarts, etc.) must contain a minimum of four (4) items and MUST be displayed on disposable plates and covered with a see-through top (plastic wrap securely fastened, commercial plastic, etc.). ABSOLUTELY NO CONTAINERS WILL BE RETURNED. (This does NOT apply to items entered in Decorated Cakes/Cookies class).

D. For entries the exhibitor wishes to enter in the Silent Auction that are displayed according to Rule 3, a full ‘batch’ should be presented at check-in time along with the disposable item. The Silent Auction portion should in a presentation suitable for auction (basket, decorated plate, etc.). The Silent Auction presentation WILL NOT be part of the judges’ score.

RULES

1. Applicants must have read and agreed to all rules, governing this Fair and Calf Scramble.

2. Applicants for the calf scramble are restricted to students currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. Must be able to feed, care and/or otherwise provide for calf, from the time of distribution until calf is exhibited at the next fair.

4. Must send three copies of monthly report on the first of every month, one to the sponsor, one to the Agricultural Science Teacher or 4-H Club Leader, and one to the Calf Scramble Committee Chairman. First report is due five (5) days after validation.

5. Must not trade, sell, convey, or in any manner dispose of the calf before the next fair except by permission of the three parties in Rule #4.

6. Must agree that the penalty for any violation of the rules of this calf scramble, including scramble-governing rules, may, at the discretion of the Scramble Control Committee, be the forfeit of the $500.00 scramble certificate.

7. Must agree to return the calf to the Crosby Fairgrounds when requested, or allow any duly authorized representative to take the calf after the process as outlined in the governing rules.

8. All scramble exhibitors will be required to display a sign during the fair recognizing their sponsor.

9. Must agree to feed and care for the calf at the direction of the Agricultural Science Teacher or 4-H Club Leader.

12. Any special case not covered by these rules must be ruled on and be binding by the three parties in rule #4.

13. All scramble calves must be validated and tagged on January 26, 2013.

14. Failure to send two monthly scramble reports will make the 4-H or FFA member ineligible to scramble the following year.

15. All scramble steers must weigh at least 600 pounds at tag-in on January 26, 2013 and a minimum of 1000 pounds at weigh in at the show. (zero lbs. tolerance)

16. Scramble calves must be a market steer or a registered heifer.

17. The Crosby Fair and Rodeo may limit the number of participants if deemed necessary.

18. The age rules for scramble participants will be Juniors 13 years of age and under and Seniors 14 years of age and older as of January 1st of the current year. This age rule applies to scramble assistants as well.


LAMB SCRAMBLE RULES

1. Applicants must have read and agreed to all rules governing this fair and lamb scramble.

2. Applicants for the lamb scramble are restricted to students currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. Applicants will scramble for goats but will receive sponsorship for lambs.

4. Must be able to feed, care, and/or otherwise provide for the lamb from the time of distribution until lamb is exhibited at the next fair.

5. Must send three copies of monthly report on the first of every month, one to the sponsor, one to the Agricultural Science Teacher or the 4-H Club Leader, and to the Lamb Scramble Committee Chairman. First report is due (5) five days after validation.

6. Must not trade, sell, convey, or in any manner dispose of the lamb before the next fair except by permission of the three parties in rule #5.

7. Must agree that the penalty for any violation of the rules of this lamb scramble, including scramble-governing rules, may at the discretion of the Scramble Control Committee, be the forfeit of the $100.00 scramble certificate.

8. Must agree to return the lamb to the Crosby Fairgrounds when requested, or allow any duly authorized representative to take the lamb after the process as outlined in the governing rules.

5. Must send three copies of monthly report on the first of every month, one to the sponsor, one to the Agricultural Science Teacher or the 4-H Club Leader, and to the Goat Scramble Committee Chairman. First report is due (5) days after validation.

4. Must be able to feed, care and/or otherwise provide for swine from the time of distribution until the animal is exhibited at the next fair.

5. Must send three copies of monthly report on the first of every month, one to the sponsor, one to the Ag. Science Teacher or 4-H Leader and one to the Scramble Committee Chairman. First report is due five (5) days after validation.

6. Must not trade, sell, convey or in any manner dispose of the animal before the next fair except by permission of the three parties in rule #5.

7. Must agree that the penalty for any violation of the rules of this swine scramble including scramble-governing rules may at the discretion of the scramble Control Committee, be the forfeit of the $ 100.00 scramble certificate.

8. Must agree to return the animal to the Crosby Fairgrounds when requested or allow any duly authorized to representative to take the pig after the process as outlined in the Governing Rules.


10. Must agree to feed and care for the pig at the direction of the Ag Science Teacher or the 4-H Club Leader.

MARKET STEER

DIVISION RULES

1. May validate two steers per exhibitor and

immediate family alternates are acceptable. 2. All market exhibitors must be members as

of January 20th and be eligible to participate according to the guidelines established by the Crosby 4-H & Crosby FFA. Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. All Steers must have been weighed-in on Saturday, January 26, 2013 between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

4. Steers must weigh at least 600 pounds at tag in and a minimum of 1000 pounds at weigh in at the show and only once across the scales. (Zero Tolerance)

5. All Steers must be dehorned and castrated before weigh-in.

6. All Steers not meeting these standards will be sifted at Show date weigh-in by the Livestock Committee.

7. All Steers must be tagged at weigh-in. 8. There will be only one time across the

scales. 9. The Steers must be halter broken and

manageable to Show and Sell. 10. Market Steers must be in place by 1:00 P.M.

with official weigh-in between 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013. Steer must be designated prior to weigh in, no exceptions.

11. Only Authorized Personnel and exhibitor will be allowed in judging area.

12. No freestanding fans will be allowed in the cattle barn.

13. Market steers will be divided into three weight classes.

14. All steers will be shown slick shorn with no more than ¼ inch length hair allowed with the exception of the tail switch. Hair length will be checked at time of weigh in. Any steer violating the hair length rule will be given one hour to re-clip their animal and correct the problem.


MARKET SWINE

DIVISION RULES

1. May validate two pigs per exhibitor and


of January 20th and be eligible to participate according to the guidelines established by the Crosby 4-H & Crosby FFA. Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag. Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. Exhibitors must have owned swine on or before tag in of the current year.

4. Minimum weight of 210 pounds and maximum of 280 pounds and only once across the scales. (3 pound tolerance)

5. Entries will be divided into weight classes. The number of weight classes will be determined by the Market Swine Committee depending on the number of entries. This will be determined after all pigs are weighed in at the show.

6. Barrows or Gilts may be shown in the Market Class. Gilts placing in the Market Swine Class must sell in the regular sale order.

11. All swine MUST be stalled; 2 per pen, no exceptions, and exhibitors will provide their own dividers.


MARKET LAMB

DIVISION RULES

1. May validate two lambs per exhibitor and



3. Exhibitors must have owned Lambs on or before tag-in of the current year.

4. Lambs must weigh between 100 and 160 pounds at the show and only once across the scales. (3 lb. tolerance)

5. Wether or Ewe lambs may be shown in the Market Lamb Class.

6. All lambs must be slick shorn from the knee and hock up at the time of weigh-in at the show.

7. Any female lamb showing signs of being bred will be disqualified.

8. All Market Lambs will be tagged April 13, 2013 at the fairgrounds from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

9. Lambs must have milk teeth with no permanent teeth erupted at time of tag in.

10. Male Lambs must be castrated before tag-in. 11. Only authorized personnel and exhibitors

will be allowed in the judging area. 12. All Market Lambs must be in place by 1:00

p.m. and weighed-in 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 check in day.

13. The number of weight classes will be determined by the market lamb committee depending on the number of entries. This will be determined after all lambs are weighed in at the show.


MARKET GOAT

DIVISION RULES

1. May validate two goats per exhibitor and

4. Goats must weigh between 65 and 135 pounds at the show and only once across the scales. ( 3 lb. tolerance)

5. Wether or female (un-bred) goats may be shown in the Market Goat Show. Any female showing signs of being bred will be disqualified.

6. All goats must be slick shorn from the knee and hock up at the time of weigh in at the show (1/4 inch).

7. Market Goats must be dehorned or horns must be tipped to no smaller than a dime in diameter at the end.

8. Each exhibitor must be able to show his or her goat unassisted. Collars are suggested during judging or the showmanship contest.

9. Goats must have milk teeth with no permanent teeth erupted at time of tag in.

10. Male goats must be castrated before tag in. 11. All market goats will be tagged April 13, 2013

at the fairgrounds from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 12. All Market Goats must be in place by 1:00

DIVISION RULES

1. Entries are limited to one pen per exhibitor. 2. All market exhibitors must be members as of

January 20th and be eligible to participate according to the guidelines established by the Crosby 4-H & Crosby FFA. Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag. Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. Exhibitor must own the doe at time of kindling. 4. In submitting an entry the exhibitor agrees to

allow the Rabbit Chairman to check meat pen and doe at anytime without prior notice. If the exhibitor cannot produce doe and litter at that time, the entry will be disqualified.

5. All entries must be free of disease or infection and in good flesh.

6. An entry must consist of three (3) Rabbits not weighing over five (5) and less than three (3) pounds each, with zero tolerance and only one time across the scales.

7. Weigh-in will be verified by Rabbit Chairman and one Fair Director.

8. Rabbits shall be in place by 3:30 P.M., Monday, June 17, 2013 and weighed in from 3:30 - 4:30 P.M. and judging will begin at 5:00 P.M.

9. All Rabbits in a pen shall be of the same breed and a breed recognized by the A.R.B.A.

10. Exhibitors only are responsible for the care and feeding of their Rabbits. Any unattended Rabbits will be dismissed from the show.

11. Only authorized personnel and exhibitors will be allowed in the judging area.

12. All Market Rabbits not making Sale will be released after judging. All pens must be left clean upon release and removal.

13. Judge's decision is irrevocable. 14. All entries must be paid on April 13, 2013

between 8:00 am - 10:00 a.m. at the fairgrounds. 15. All Rabbits will be tattooed on Saturday, May 18,

2013 at the fairgrounds between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

16. Request for reimbursement of entry fee due to non kindling of rabbits must be made to the rabbit committee chairman no later than April 11th.


MARKET BROILER

1. Entries are limited to one pen of three

pullets, cockerels, or mixed sex per exhibitor.

2. All market exhibitors must be members as of January 20th and be eligible to participate according to the guidelines established by the Crosby 4-H or Crosby FFA. Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag. Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. All entries must be in good flesh and free of disease or infection or they will be sifted.

4. An entry must consist of three (3) broilers. 5. All entries must be owned by the exhibitor

since date of authorized purchasing of all Broilers by Poultry Chairman.

6. Poultry shall be in place between 4:00 and 6:00 P.M., Monday, June 17, 2013 and judging will begin at 7:00 p.m.

7. All exhibitors must exhibit their broilers during judging. Only authorized personnel and exhibitors will be allowed in the judging area. Any Crosby ISD Student is eligible to assist/hold broilers, no adults allowed.

8. All market broilers not making the sale will be released after judging. Sale birds must remain until checkout time on Thursday. All pens must be cleaned upon release and removal.

9. All broilers must be ordered and paid for by March 7, 2013, between 6:00 – 8:00 PM the fair office. Cash or money order only.

10. ENTRY DEADLINE IS AT TIME OF ORDER. 11. Crosby Fair and Rodeo Inc. will band all

Exhibitors must have conducted their project under the supervision of a 4-H Leader or Ag. Teacher. Exhibitors must be currently enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary school and reside within the Crosby I.S.D.

3. All entries must be in good flesh and free of disease or infection or they will be sifted.

4. An entry must consist of one (1) Turkey, no weight limit.

5. All entries must be owned by exhibitor since date of authorized purchasing of all Turkeys by Poultry Chairman.

6. Poultry shall be in place between 4:00 and 6:00 P.M., Monday, June 17

th and judging

will begin at 7:00 p.m. 7. All exhibitors must exhibit Turkey during

judging. Only authorized personnel and exhibitors will be allowed in the show arena. Any Crosby ISD Student is eligible to assist/hold turkeys, no adults allowed.

upon request. 3. All blue ribbon winners will compete

for Champion Heifer. 4. All cattle must be halter broken and

manageable. 5. All local breeding beef exhibitors must

be in place by 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 17, 2013. If Non-Scramble breeding beef exhibitors choose to leave, they must be off premises by 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday or remain until check out time on Thursday.

6. Out of town exhibitors will be allowed to arrive the morning of the show and leave immediately following judging.


8. No Bulls will be shown. 9. Scramble animals must arrive Monday,

June 17, 2013 by 1:00 P.M. and stay until check out time on Thursday.

CROSBY RODEO PAGEANT

PAGEANT DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED Age 0-13 Years

Each contestant who enters will be presented with a trophy whether or not he or she places, for we know it is a great accomplishment just to walk out on stage for some. There will be special trophies for 3rd, 1st runner up, and the winner. There will be a float that all winners are asked to ride on in the parade on Saturday, June 15TH, and they will ride in the grand entry of the Saturday Night Rodeo Performance on June 22nd. We will announce their names during the rodeo. All trophies will be handed out after each age group. Entry deadline to be announced. You may mail or drop off your entry at: Crosby Fair & Rodeo, Inc. At this time we will announce the child's name and activities while the judges are taking score.

Ages 3-13 Years (Boys and Girls) Best Dressed Cowboy and Best Dressed Cowgirl Contestants will be asked to walk out to center of stage, turn and walk over to the judge’s table. At this time they will walk into a microphone and tell their name, age and special interests and activities they would like to add. (We will help those that are a little shy.)

Rodeo Clown (Boys) and Rodeo Dress (Girls) Contestants will model on stage as we announce their names, what they are wearing and any hobbies or interest they might have.
