We are pleased to publish our 2013 ICF Directory as a reference guide to ICF manufacturers and related products for design/build firms, architects, specifiers and property owners. This magazine has been a committed advocate for the benefits of designing and building with concrete and insulating concrete forms since 1998.
Now, the building industry’s focus has shifted from an emerging interest in green products to an insistence on high-per-formance buildings that reduce energy costs and offer long-term life cycle value. Fortunately, the thermal mass of concrete coupled with an insulating EPS barrier already is meeting these needs to significantly decrease building operational costs and reduce energy expenses.
Manufacturers have continuously improved their products, and today ICF builders and installers can streamline schedules while building with materials that are fully recyclable. Clean, safe building sites that minimize construction waste are an added benefit.
Buildings constructed using ICFs have been proven to afford excellent security, safety and resistance to natural disasters. The superior acoustic properties also provide quieter and more comfortable living and working environments.
The Expanded Polystyrene Industry Alliance (EPS-IA) is a united organization of EPS molders, resin suppliers, fabricators, recyclers, manufacturers, packagers and builders. These groups have joined together to provide all members with one voice, one vision and one passion...to support, advance and enhance the EPS industry, and to spread the word that this product is innovative and environmentally sound. EPS-IA Members are identified within the directory.
