DIY M5 LIGHT MOUNT

Stuff you need:- Star nut

- Star nut setter- Steerer tube- Hacksaw & cutting guide- M5 bolt- Headlight

1. Figure out how wide you needthe mount to be. This will dependon how wide your light is and whereyoure going to mount it. Mark thesteerer tube accordingly.

2. Cut that thing and le it down.

3. Pound in the star nut with thestar nut setter.

4. Mount it to your frame withthe M5 bolt.

Bonus points for nding a bar-endplug thatll t in there.

Bottom Bracket Stuff

Eccentric 46 Bottom BracketThe E46 provides a singlespeed conversion option for modern frames.In recent years, lots of manufacturers chose to build frames with 46mmdiameter bottom bracket shellsworking around PressFit 30 bottombrackets. The 30 refers to the crank spindle size, 30mm in diameter.But heck, theres still plenty of good old 24mm spindle cranks (ShimanoHollowtech II, RaceFace X-Type, etc.) out there. This got us to thinkin(dangerous, we know), most of these modern frames come with verticaldropouts, and theres no clean singlespeed option.

So we designed the E46 to t into those 46mm bottom bracket shells, butinstead of PressFit 30 cranks, the bearings welcome 24mm spindle cranks.When its installed, you get 16mm of fore-to-aft adjustment to properlytension your chain.CR0098

Sheldon Fender NutsMounting fenders to bikes with road calipers is a real pain in the arse.Fickle creatures, the calipers become difcult to adjust once the fenderstab is stuck on the backside. Enter the late Sheldon Brown. One of our trueheroes, Sheldon gave us the idea for the Sheldon Fender Nut. Basically,the Sheldon nut replaces your calipers brake nut, but also contains threadsfor standard M6 bolts. This allows you to install and remove the fenderswithout messing with your brakes.

Direct Mount AdapterWe initially developed this adapter for standard mountain bike frameswith 68/73mm-wide bottom bracket shells, but quickly realized the needwas much greater for the fat bike market, where the 100mm wide bottombrackets make front derailleur applications a little difcult.
