JustificationI have considered few factors before I started to design the lesson plan and exercise questions for students. First of all, primary three students in 2013 are the first batch of KSSR students, therefore it is necessary to launch different teaching method in order to maximize the advantages accordance to the KSSR education system. I have realized that KSSR education system does not encourage teachers to force the students to study and memorize all the things in text book because that would limit their brainstorming and brings unexpectable effects to their study in future. Therefore, I will have to think of new, interesting and attractive teaching method in order to ensure students study in a comfortable and stressless environment. In this point, I will have to make sure that students not only able to adapt to the study environment within short period of time, but also able to absorb the required knowledge efficiently and effectively. Therefore, I have designed the lesson plan that has attached with family values, song and jazz chant in order to capture the attention and interests of students to study. It is no doubt that family is the closest person to any students. Therefore, the family values such as love, compassion, kindness, respect and appreciation can be taught and cultivated before any lessons started in order to attract the students to pay attention to teacher. Besides that, I will also have the chance to train the skills of students to think and identify something through encouraging them to care about their family members. Students will be able to think something before they start doing or learning something. Certainly, the steps of guiding and leading must not be avoided during the procedure of teaching. Otherwise, some students whom do not posses family values and appreciation mindset will not be able to pay attention in the class. I have decided to teach noun at first because I personally think that nouns are the first and the most important grammar that has to be taken care in sentence making and essay writing. Every sentences and essay require a noun, which include name, things and places. Since essay writing is being introduced to primary three students, therefore it is necessary for ensure that they can master the use of nouns in their sentence making and essay writing. In order to ensure students able to master the use of nouns in their sentence making and essay writing in future, I have prepared the worksheet that only introduce nouns, which include persons, occupations and things. Meanwhile the second worksheet also focuses on nouns only but the only different thing is I have used jazz chant to introduce nouns. The purpose of jazz chant is being used in the worksheet is because jazz chant not only able to capture students attention, but also able to strengthen the memory of students to recognize the use of nouns. Whenever students are interested on the topic, they are easily adapt to the learning environment. This will smoothen and fasten the their learning progress in overall. Besides that, the practice of nouns also allow students to know, recognize and learn more vocabulary in several fields such as persons, occupations, things and places. The advantages of learning nouns enable students to recognize and identify someone, something and places. This will help much in their sentence making and essay writing in future because they would know how to start writing with a person or a thing. This will also avoid the problems often faced by students which they do not know what is the name of person or something. Last but not least, this teaching method is not the best or perfect , however it is considered as one of the good methods to capture the attention and maximize their interests on study.
