    Prague with my family

From 2 to 4 May my aunt and my cousin

came to Prague to visit me.

I was really excited cause it was the first time

that some family memebers travelled to

Czech Republic just for me. Actually they

wanted to go to Prostjov to see my new

hometown, but I chose Prague as the

meeting point because it's nearest to

Germany, so my family didn't have to pay for

the train tickets and, of course, it is the capital

of Czech Republic and I wanted to show it to my Cousin who was in the country for the first

    time.

Unfortunately it rained on friday, so we just went to our pension what was almost opposite the

embassy of the USA and North Ireland. Also it was close to the Karl's bridge, so instead of the

bad weather we went out to see the bridge and the Church of the Crusaders ( Kostel svatho

Frantika z Assisi) as well as the Church of St. Salvator (Kostel Nejsvtjho Salvtora).

On saturday it stopped to rain, so we walked trough the narrow streets and alleys discovering

the Old Town Square, the Rudolfinum, the National Theatre, the Wanceslas Place and many

    more.

Instead of the short time we visited a lot of places and,

of course, we also enjoyed the time together speaking,

telling stories and laughing. Furthermore I could speak

in German as normally and didn't have to think if

everyone understand me. So in my mind my family will

go to Czech Republic again and visit another Czech city.

By the way they were really impressed by the fact that a

lot of people in Prague could speak German very well.

But I tached them some words, so if you meet some

German people who just say Ahoj and Dekuji it can

be members of my family! :)

    Budapest here we come!

The 8 May is a bank holiday because of the

capitulation and the resulting end of the Second

World War, so Lucie, some other friends and

I decided to take a free day on friday and go to

Budapest. It's the capital of Hungary and one of the

most beautiful cities I've ever seen.

After arriving in our hostel what is close to the White

Bridge, we went out to a Bar just to drink something

and talk. It consist from different old apartments that are rebuilded into little rooms where there

are bars, tables and chairs. In every room you could listen to different music, e.g. Jazz or soul.

Unfortunately we were too tired to stay there for a longtime, so we went to sleep.

Next day we wanted to join a walking tour through

Budapest for free, but unfortunately we missed it (in

the whole weekend we missed it three times, so we

decided to go to Budapest again just to make this

tour). That's why we made our own tour and started

to walk along the Andrassy Avenue what is part of

the World Heritage List. There, you find a lot of old

    villas, museums, embassies and boutiques.

Then we visited the Heroes' Square, the Hungarian

Parlament Building, the Dohny Street Synagoge

(the largest synagoge in Europe!) and oher places.

Of course awe also discovered the nightlife in

    Budapest and met interesting people.

On last day when we wanted to travel back to

Czech Republic, we met a french boy called Cdric.

He said that on this day it was his birthday. So we

invited spontanously him for cake and beer. He was

really happy about it and we talked about our EVS experiences and his Europe trip. He told that

he was in Prague and planned to Republic of Croatia and Belarus. But it is just a preparation for

his Asia tour. We were quiet impressed by it! Before going to the train station we took a picture

and pomise to see us as soon as possible.

So it was an intensive trip and we saw a lot of stuff during the weekend. But we were also happy

    when we arrived in Prostjov!
