.our world is changing
•Our Industry is changing….. But I remain proud of our accomplishments in GA
A State where:•A
major international brand based in our capital city develops the first 100% plant based plastic bottle—compatible with traditional PET
•A major aluminum manufacturer (w/N American HQ in GA) develops the highest content aluminum can in the world
•A carpet manufacturer ranks No. 8 out of 500 companies named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers 2015. The company is the highest rated manufacturing employer and the only ranked company within the floorcovering industry.
•The second largest pulp and paper industry in the nation operates
•A flip flop manufacturer develops a closed loop circular economy brand…without much fanfare!
•Leaders in the recycling industry from Georgia are published in national trades and serve on panels at national conferences
•A woman who we already knew was an amazing industry leader gets a SW director job for a local government well known for its leadership in recycling and waste reduction.
•It is said we have the 2nd largest end-use infrastructure in the nation… hope our metrics prove that to be true
•And this is just the icing on the compost cake! Still work to do, but lots to be proud of!
