Jamie Crow Executive Director “We knew the wonder-ful staff would look after her.” These senti-ments came to me in a heartfelt letter from the daughters of Alice Mason, our centenari-an who is no longer able to live with us.

Her family wanted me to know how much they appreciate Elmhurst and the staff. Their mother told them “I loved the people and I had a lot of good friends there.”

They assured Alice that the staff “loved her, too.” They also wrote: “In her last few months at Elmhurst, when she was so fragile and needy, the staff went above and be-yond the call of duty to give her the care and compassion she needed. Words cannot express the apprecia-tion we feel. Elmhurst is a very special place and the staff make it that way.”

This is Elmhurst! So proud of my entire staff. Bravo! - Jamie

We’ve Been Busy

Residents loved crafting patriotic wreaths and tasted a variety of cold, flavored teas. A lit-tle cornhole game competition was fun, too. We’ve been busy!

Grant Provides Big Screen TV - Residents are thor-oughly enjoying a “big screen” experience when they watch movies or televi-sion programs on the new 65” screen tv we purchased, thanks to a grant from the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Foun-dation. The larger screen al-lows residents with vision limitations to more fully en-joy programs. Thank you!

Four members of the Upper Ohio Valley Obedience Training Group brought their dogs for a Sunday vis-it. We had a ball meeting these canines. Thank you.
