All American ID is a wholly owned subsidiary of Holmes Stamp & Sign. Production of our items takes place in our main facility located in Jacksonville, Florida. While turnaround time depends on the item ordered, we strive for 1-3 business day turnaround on all items in this catalog unless otherwise noted. For example, 93% of our stamp orders are shipped within one business day of orders placed by 4 pm E.S.T.

All merchandise will ship from the Jacksonville location. Please see the map below to determine transit times via UPS to your desired destination. Items shipped via UPS are trackable and package security guaranteed. Any item lost or damaged during UPS transit will be replaced and re-shipped using same shipping method as the original shipment at no further cost to you.

We also offer Economy shipping via the U.S. Postal Service (first class). Items shipped using this method are in no way guaranteed. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND UPS FOR YOUR SHIPMENTS to avert any remake expenses.

Any shipments to Canada or the U.S. Territories must be shipped via Priority Mail through the U.S. Postal Service. We do not ship internationally beyond these locations. We do not ship FEDEX. All requests for FEDEX will be sent via UPS and invoiced accordingly.

All artwork submitted must be at least 300 DPI and above. (lower resolution produces poor quality results)

Logo and Image & File Recommendations:

If you do not know where your logo file is - Contact your printing company (business cards, menus, posters, etc.) They can usually help out.

Vector Formatted Files, such as those created in Illustrator or CorelDRAW, provide superior reproduction quality and allow images to be resized without loss of sharpness or detail. This is the preferred, most adaptable, and ONLY format that can be spot color separated.

RECOMMENDED FILE FORMATS: *.ai (Adobe Illustrator), *.eps (Adobe), *.cdr (CorelDRAW) or their *.pdf (Adobe) saved versions are desired. We also accept raster artwork (*.jpg, *.gif, *.bmp, *.png, *.tif) as long as images are at 300 DPI and above. Please note - website images are 72dpi. This will not reproduce clearly. Please do not pull images from websites. Any design work done by us to make artwork production ready may involve a setup or graphics fee. If unsure whether or not your artwork will work for a particular order, please feel free to email the artwork to [email protected] to have us review and make recommendations.

For text lists, (ie. Names) we prefer Microsoft Excel, but will also accept *.txt, Microsoft Word & *.csv documents as well as typed out lists in email. We are unable to accept lists by phone.

SIGNATURES FOR STAMPS will work best if white paper is signed with black pen (Felt tip pens work best) with the intended size of the final product. Signature must be received electronically (emailed or faxed).

If sending a PO please send any required artwork files with the PO via email. If a PO is received without artwork (or vice versa) your order will cause confusion and may be delayed.

For large files or a large quantity of files please consider uploading your files to our FTP site. Please contact our customer service team for details and login information.

PROOFING INFORMATION:

Proofs are only created at your specific request. We do not charge for the first proof and two revisions. Further revisions will incur a $25 proofing charge. If sending a typed list for personalization on an order, our system will copy/paste that list reducing the chance for errors. We encourage reliance on this process to keep production times at a minimum.

GET TO KNOW THE STAMPS YOU NEEDStamps can be classified into three main styles:

Traditional Hand Stamps • Self-Inking • Pre-InkedTraditional Hand Stamps: These have your personalized die mounted onto a wood stamp block/handle assembly cut to fit the impression needed. The stamp must be pressed against a separate ink pad (sold separately) for each stamp impression needed. The traditional mount for these is wood, with a wood (usually knob shaped) handle however plastic mounts with molded plastic handles are available in pre-determined sizes (please call/e-mail us if this is desired). The custom cut wood block system allows for the largest stamp area possible however a stamp larger than 5x7 is not recommended. Any size larger than 3” in any direction will convert your stamp mount to a “rocker” style to enable even impressions.

Self-Inking: This method took the traditional stamp style and made it automatic. Your personalization die is mounted on the stamp body and for each impression, flips back and forth against an ink pad stored internally in the body of the stamp. Ink pads come with the stamp and can be changed out for other colors or replaced when worn and not inking properly. Specialty inks can often damage the mechanics of these stamps. If planning to use such inks please contact us to verify compatibility. Ink bottles are also available to re-ink the pads if desired, however dies can force an impression in the pad over long periods of time making the impression more blurry than desired. These models come in “printy” styles for light or home use and “professional” models for heavy or office usage.

Pre-Inked: Rather than using a die for personalization, these models actually flash or laser (depending on the model) the personalization into an ink filled vessel within the stamp body. This method allows for ink droplets to seep through the impression area only, creating a very sharp image. These must be re-inked with liquid ink only of the same color and ink type specific to the manufacturer of the body model. As there are fewer mechanics in these bodies, these are the longest lasting stamps but can dry out and clog up if not covered.

Special Order Date, Number, Alpha & Band Stamps

Our special order metal-frame stamps which are durable enough for heavy industrial applications. Available in figure sizes from 1/8" to 11/4" tall in assemblies of 2 bands up to 22 bands, depending upon the size of characters. Bands can have numbers, symbols or letters. Custom message bands are also available.

Standard bands are Roman style, denoted with the PN prefix, with extra-condensed figures stamping in a Gothic style, denoted with the XCPN prefix.

When requesting a quote please provide information for each band, and the character size needed and whether model desired should be traditional or self-inking.

Similar to standard stamps, “Date”, “Time” and “Number” stamps are often classified as either Self-Inking, Pre-Inked or Non-Inked. Each manufacturer has its own date font/style and often has differing styles of wheel/

band mechanics; not all manufacturers have the same number of years on their date bands and some feature extra symbols beyond the years.

Please be cautious when ordering. The mechanics required to make wheels/bands turn often limit the customization options available. Any

rotating messages must be before or after the date/numbers. There are several “Stock Message Daters” available featuring common phrases. Please visit our website’s dater page for a chart showing available messages and stamp models. If unable to locate the particular wording needed, a custom band dater is the best option (see

below). These custom band dater stamps are made to order and require up to a month turnaround time. Customized message bands that rotate ABOVE or BELOW the date are generally not possible yet.

Ink Caution for DatersInk used in any rotating mechanics machine must meet with

manufacturer standards to avoid issues with the internal machinery and band material. Use ONLY self-inking rated inks in these machines.

Metal Nametags with Logos will be Sublimated (Please see Page 30)Sublimation is a technique using heat and pressure to force ink from a special medium to the metal substrate of the nametag. Knowing your logo's PMS colors is essential as is your logo in vector format. This will enable us to adjust your color to offset the base

material color.

Plastic Nametags with Logos have many options!Our fastest technique is Digital printing directly on the plastic (below). Digital plastic colors are limited to those

shown. We do not recommend Digital if badge is full of color (choose Sublimated Plastic instead - page 30). If material color selection needs outweigh the digital process, please see page 29 for more options.

If you have vector art for your logo and there are fewer than 4 colors in the logo we suggest Screen Printing your logo. We will keep a few extra shells on hand after your first order just to make sure future orders move quickly!

TEXT:We welcome your plaque text in email format to reduce risk of typos. You are welcome to send us a pdf or word document or even just an excel spreadsheet with the details.

QUARTERLY or ANNUAL AWARDS are easy! Once we have a template in place, we keep it on file for at least two years. So when you are ready to order next year's award, just send us the new list of recipients and we‘ll get you out a proof to make sure they all look right before going to production!
