January Chapter 1- Sloka 45 अहो बत महत्पापं कतु� व्यव�सता वयम ्। यद्राज्यसखुलोभेन हन्तु ंस्वजनमदु्यताः ॥१-४५॥ Alas! We are ready to commit a great sin by striving to slay our relatives because of greed for the pleasures of the kingdom. (1.45) February Chapter 2 Sloka 56 दःुखषे्वनदु्�वग्नमनाः सखुेष ु�वगतस्पहृः । वीतरागभयक्रोधः िस्थतधीमुर्�नरुच्यत े॥२- ५६॥ A person whose mind is unperturbed by sorrow, who does not crave pleasures, and who is completely free from attachment, fear, and anger, is called an enlightened sage of steady intellect. (2.56) March Chapter 3 Sloka -14 अन्नाद्भविन्त भतूा�न पजर्न्यादन्नसम्भवः । य�ाद्भव�त पजर्न्यो य�ः कमर्समदु्भवः ॥३- १४॥ The living beings are born from food grains, grains are produced by sacrificial work or duty performed by farmers and other field workers. Duty is prescribed in the scriptures April Chapter 4 Sloka 19 यस्य सव� समारम्भाः कामसकंल्पविजर्ताः । �ानािग्नदग्धकमार्ण ंतमाहुः पिण्डत ंबधुाः ॥४-१९॥ A person, whose desires have become selfless by being roasted in the fire of Self-knowledge, is called a sage by the wise. (4.19) May Chapter 5 Sloka 26 कामक्रोध�वयकु्ताना ंयतीनां यतचेतसाम ्। अ�भतो ब्रह्म�नवार्ण ंवतर्त े�व�दतात्मनाम ्॥५- २६॥ Those who are free from lust and anger, who have subdued the mind and senses, and who have known the Self, easily attain Nirvana. (5.26) June Chapter 6 Sloka 17 यकु्ताहार�वहारस्य यकु्तचषे्टस्य कमर्स ु। यकु्तस्वप्नावबोधस्य योगो भव�त दःुखहा ॥६- १७॥ The yoga of meditation destroys all sorrow for the one who is moderate in eating, recreation, working, sleeping, and waking. (6.17) July Chapter 7 Sloka 14 दैवी ह्येषा गणुमयी मम माया दरुत्यया । मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्त ेमायामेता ंतरिन्त त े॥७- १४॥

(12.18) January 2015 Chapter 18 Sloka 78 यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णो यत्र पाथ� धनधुर्रः ।तत्र श्री�वर्जयो भ�ूतध्रुर्वा नी�तमर्�तमर्म ॥१८- ७८॥ Wherever there will be both Krishna, the Lord of yoga, or Dharma in the form of the scriptures, and Arjuna with the weapons of duty and protection; there will be everlasting prosperity, victory, happiness, and morality. (12.18) January 2015 Chapter 18 Sloka 78 यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णो यत्र पाथ� धनधुर्रः ।तत्र श्री�वर्जयो भ�ूतध्रुर्वा नी�तमर्�तमर्म ॥१८- ७८॥ Wherever there will be both Krishna, the Lord of yoga, or Dharma in the form of the scriptures, and Arjuna with the weapons of duty and protection; there will be everlasting prosperity, victory, happiness, and morality.
