The theme for this season is “Rattler Up.” This football season is about holding yourself up to higher expectations no matter what, on the field, in the classroom and at home. We are so excited and welcome all parents, alumni, business owners and members of the community that have come out and shown your support.

A new home
The San Marcos Rattlers will have a new home this season.
After playing at Bob-cat Stadium for years, San Marcos is excited
on-campus stadium in program history. The Rattlers are expected to christen their new digs on Oct. 3 against Alamo Heights.
San Marcos super-intendent Mark Eads didn’t just want to build a stadium. Eads wanted to construct something Rattler Nation could be
Friday nights. From a home grandstand that towers over the oppos-ing stands and a “Rat-tler Nation” sign that is
backlit, the new SM-CISD football stadium has several must-see features.
Eads said we built the new stadium with the players in mind. We wanted something our team could be proud of and a place the players could call home.
A new stadium isn’t the only thing that is new around the San Marcos football pro-gram this season. The Rattlers have joined a new district — 27-5A — and will face Alamo Heights (Oct. 3), Kerr-ville-Tivy (Oct. 17) and Boerne-Champion in their new digs.
