“I am the Community Meals Coordinator at the Program In Community and Agroecology (PICA) for the 2012-2013 school year. We are a residential community at The Village that not only lives together, but cooks with one another, participates in weekly workdays at our Sustainable Living Center’s gardens, and encourages an intentional sustainable lifestyle through garden education.
“There is so much support from the transfer community at UCSC. I would recommend any Services for Transfer and Re-entry Students (STARS) program events, especially the two-day-long workshop that is held before the start of the fall quarter. I also participated in a two-unit STARS course that really helped me develop my academic skills as a university student.”
