Our mission is to continuously set standards inpostgraduate medical education and to foster thesharing of medically guided expertise in a worldwidenetwork of healthcare professionals to improve patientcare in trauma or disorders of the musculoskeletalsystem.

Symposium objectives
Symposium description
Target participants
After the course, participants should be able to:
• Understand the principles and new trends of planning inorthognathic surgery.
• Know the new instruments for digital 3D planning inorthognathic surgery.
• Understand the indications and rationale of the newtiming protocols in orthognathic surgery.
• Know how to carry out a 3D computer planning of dento-facial deformities.
• Know the advantages of piezoelectric osteotomes inorthognathic surgery.
• Know and understand how to manage dentofacialdeformities in clefts and craniofacial syndromes.
Topics of the symposium will be taught in two main ways.Comprehensive lectures will concentrate on the under-standing of core material. Video demonstrations will beused to supplement the lectures contents. Discussions willbe held throughout the symposium after each session ofpresentations.
This symposium is intended to professionals familiar with
orthognathic surgery treatments, interested in up to dateknowledge in this field: computer planning, piezoelectricosteotomes and procedures in complex or specific clinicalsituations.
